Oh No You Can’t — I’ve Got Weirder Kids than You!
3:00 p.m.
Sam: Mom do you think I could wear this mask ALL day?
Me: NO
Sam: I betcha I can.
Me: If you wear it until 8 p.m., I’ll let you stay up until 10 p.m.
Sam: COOL!
Lizzy: What can I do?
Me: You have to strip naked and stay that way until 8 p.m.
Lizzy: OK
Me: HA HA HA … NO DON’T, it’s just too weird.
Lizzy: No fair!
See, they are weirder than your kids!
…
3:36 p.m.
The mask comes off! They’re going to bed @ 8:45 like always! WOOT!

Well, my oldest son only wore various costumes when he was around 3-4 years old. I had to take him everywhere with me as Batman, a Power Ranger, Ninja, etc. Did I get some looks or what?! It was Halloween around here all year long…..Cindi LOL!!!!!!

Yeah, you might have me beat. But, that’s just because mine’s not old enough to talk yet. ;)

I have a fairy princess today. She refuses to take off her wings!
But I think you totally win in weird! A totally ingenious parent you are-“if you keep them on, you can stay up late” I’m going to have to remember that one.

I’ll bet I was a weirder child. I used to pretend to be Jesus, Superman and a professional wrestler all in a period of one hour.

I think mine would have taken me up on that dare.

Haha, that was a great challenge, it’s such a shame he failed! But no I don’t think they’re weird to be honest, that’s just what being a kid is all about.

Well, I don’t know about you, but I don’t cherish the thought of anybody sitting around naked on my couch. Maybe on a rubber chair.

Remind me to tell you sometime about my weird kids. But I’m not gonna do it now. We don’t know each other well enough at this point and I don’t want to get banned from your blog just yet.

Lol…I used to think I could move objects with nothing more than the power of my mind when I was very young. I was constantly surprised when it didn’t work!

That is hilarious! Kids really never fail to brighten up my day. Your kids are not at all weird, I think it’s just normal for them to be that way. They’re curious about all sorts of things, that’s part of their charms. Thanks! :)

Well its a snorkle mask… nothing weird about it if you’re going to the beach
I remember we used to play with real gas masks… I was really scared of the way it made people look.
Todd · May 28, 2009 at 2:52 pm
