The Miracle of Photoshop (& Lightroom)
Remember a few days ago, I told you about my camera settings being messed up and me being too lazy to notice until we got home?
Oh, you don’t? Well read this! https://mommyknows.com/damncameradamnkid/ – The bottom bit is even kinda funny.
If you went back and read that, you are now aware that I had to cancel the ‘Guess that Canyon’ contest due to the worlds crappiest holiday photos.
In an effort to salvage a few I spent sometime this evening with Photoshop (& Lightroom) editing photos. Not so I can hold the contest (which I might), but because I want some holiday photos dagnabbit. The chances of me driving through ‘Where in the hell are we?, USA’, (honest, I think that it what it was called) again soon are slim.
I call this one ‘Road to Nowhere’ – Before Photoshop (& Lightroom)
This is such a dismal place Mr. MK, why would you drive me way out into the middle of ‘Where in the hell are we? … why?
I call this one ‘Road to Somewhere’ – After Photoshop (& Lightroom)
‘Where in the hell are we? is kind of a pretty spot, eh? Just where I wanted to be thank you honey!
Psst … it really was orange and gorgeous like this … even the road.
Tonight, I am thankful for Photoshop. What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving? (Say me … go on say it).
To all my American readers, Happy Thanksgiving!

That is quite a transformation!! A thousand times better.
I love using Picasa to “fix” my photos … but Lightroom & Photoshop would be even better!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: my kingdom for some photoediting software! (and someone to teach me how to use it) That is amazing!
I’m thankful for you and other bloggers who let me know that I’m usually not alone in anything I’m feeling.
Oh, and my family’s pretty amazing too! :)

Photoshop is great–have you tried the feature where it can suck you in for hours while you play around with your photos? It’s great–it can even suck you in so you forget to make dinner or clean the toilette.
I love the photo–I would love to be in “where the hell are we USA” if that’s what it looks like! I am looking forward to seeing more photos of your trip.

Wow, that is pretty impressive. I don’t think my version of Photoshop has that. I’ll have to check.

I’m right there with you about the camera settings. I’ve got a really good camera that I hardly ever use (I save it for photoshoots) and little pocket size camera that I take with me everyday in case I need a camera.
I can’t remember the good camera’s features, and I’m too lazy to get the book out and hone up on it again, so I just keep taking the little camera on everything. Although I have to admit it takes good pictures.

I prefer to get the actual shot than spend hours editing the photo! Although sometimes when I’m editing in photoshop, I tend to get carried away and do some werid edits to the photos..

Absolutely beautiful and I love the title you’ve given it. I’ve never used Lightroom, but I’ve heard good things about it and this looks great.
