You: “Again?”
Me: “Yep!”

This time around we are offering the Cabana Green BabyLegs! If you’re new to mommyknows or thebabymarketplace, go here or here to read more about BabyLegs!

BabyLegs

To win these super cute summer BabyLegs, just leave a comment AND tell me where you are going on summer holidays and why! If you aren’t planning a holiday this year you can tell me about your favorite holiday spot or the place you’d most like to go. Why? Because, I’m nosey that’s why! No, not really (well a little), it’s because I haven’t any BIG plans this summer and maybe with your help I’ll find a new place to go!

The winner will be announced Sunday May 20th about 9 pm (random draw).

A few posts ago, I asked you what I should write more about, and more than one of you were interested in how we found our products and whether we tested them or not.

I find products at tradeshows, in magazines, online, suppliers send me product samples, customers recommend products and in a few cases we make our own (like these Sammy’s Cloth Diapers).

Sometimes we test and sometimes we don’t! We do have a customer review panel that tests products for us — if you want to try out FREE products, this is the panel to join. Basically, you sign up and tell us all about yourself and your kids. When a product or sample arrives that matches your profile we’ll send it to you and you get to test it for us (and keep it). Then you send us an email with a review and photo. It’s a snap!

If you want nearly FREE products, I suggest that you sign-up for our Members Only Newsletter and receive great coupon codes and specials! These are offers that are not published on our site. Sign-up this week and save 35% on Jack and Lily Baby Shoes and 20% off Bummis Covers (some restrictions apply). Come on try it … I dare yah!

I’m giving away a FREE product every day until the end of May. Read more here: Contest Details

For summer, hopefully I can make it back home to the Caribbean so I can spend some time with my daughters. Hopefully I can make their birthday coming up.

abi · May 19, 2007 at 10:12 pm

This summer, I’m going home to Tennessee to spend a week with my parents and a handful of my siblings at the family cabin in the mountains. So relaxing… can’t wait.

Ann · May 20, 2007 at 12:40 am

This summer, I’m taking my daughters to London to visit their aunt. A change of scenery would be great for us all.

Becky · May 20, 2007 at 1:56 am

I am sure we will be making several trips to Anchorage this summer. We live in Fairbanks, Alaska, well, Eielson Air Force Base, near Fairbanks, Alaska. Let me tell you, if you can ever visit Alaska, it is a great place to vacation, but don’t ever live here! It is expensive, you can’t get good produce, and you have to have a passport to drive back to the lower 48 through Canada now! Bleh!

Lorie · May 20, 2007 at 5:01 am

This will not help you much because we do not plan to go anywhere on vacation this summer. My husband is trying to get through school so money is tight! I just had a baby in February, so right now if we go anywhere we have to take two cars. We would have to get a new car,(a minivan) as I have 4 kids now, but I really like road trips. I love planning the food and stoping on the side of the road to picnic and just being able to see something new! I would really like to take my kids to the beach!

Dee Dee · May 20, 2007 at 6:09 am

We just got back from the Dominican Republic, an early vacation, I guess. We had a great time. This summer we will do short road trips to visit family and hopefully Sesame Place.

Lacey · May 20, 2007 at 7:22 am

We will probably be going nowhere. In october, we are planning a trip to see my brother in New Orleans.

Victoria · May 20, 2007 at 7:28 am

Hi, I just came across your fab website by chance after doing a google search from the UK. My hubby, son and baby girl are all off to Disneyland Paris next month for my daughters 1st birthday. We are so excited as we’ve not had a holiday for a couple of years due to moving house and having our little sweetpea but to help celebrate our very own Princess’s birthday and to give ourselves a well earned break we are going to Paris and staying at Disneyland for a week. Hopefully the sun will shine and we’ll all get to meet Mickey and Minnie and babylegs would be ideal for our little one as she has really rough knees at the minute due to all the crawling ! Fab website and happy holidays to everyone, love Victoria xxx

Carrie · May 20, 2007 at 8:05 am

We were talking doing a camping trip in Banff this year. We can’t wait for that beautiful scenery. Our only hangup is we still need to get the kiddo’s passports.

Kara · May 20, 2007 at 8:25 am

Hi :) We aren’t planning a vacation this year, but if we were it would be San Diego probably. We love San Diego, the weather is usually perfect and there’s so many things to do nearby, like Disneyland, Universal Studios, Sea World, Legoland, and the beach. I think it would be fun to take the kids to Legoland and Seaworld.

Cathy · May 20, 2007 at 8:45 am

We took a vacation in the Spring, so no summer holidays planned here – sigh! If we were going, though, it would probably be to visit family in the South or in Colorado. One day we’ll get more adventurous again, but with a baby and a preschooler and living far away from extended family, we’re putting a priority on see the folks whenever we can! And, with the extra naps (for me!) and free babysitting that comes with visiting grandparents, it’s the best kind of vacation!

AmyP · May 20, 2007 at 8:51 am

Best vacation is the beach in San Diego – anytime of year! Year-round perfect weather.

Much More Than A Mom · May 20, 2007 at 9:05 am

We’re taking several short trips to the nearby mountains, where babylegs would come in very handy!

Pam · May 20, 2007 at 9:45 am

We don’t have plans yet. My husband isn’t exactly sure when he can take vaction time (he can, just not sure when yet). We won’t do anything elaborate. Maybe go to a lake or the mountains (Banff or Jasper) and rent a cabin. Or maybe we’ll push it to the fall and go to BC and see rent a cabin there or something. Our budget and our need for a new vehicle won’t allow us to do anything too costly but we want to go somewhere. Otherwise we’ll probably just end up visiting people in Fort McMurray and going there sure isn’t a vaction!

Susy-Q · May 20, 2007 at 10:13 am

My favourite vacation spot is Vancouver Island. It is truly a magical place. There is SO much to do. In the past we have climbed Mt. Washington, kayaked in the ocean, walked the beaches of the Pacific Rim Coast, gawked at the flowers in the Butchard Gardens, and admired the murals of Chemainus. There are activities for everyone, young and old, active or sedentary. It’s the place to be. Just bring an umbrella in case it rains!

Lucy · May 20, 2007 at 10:26 am

We are preparing for a big move at the end of the summer, but first taking a cruise!

Kait · May 20, 2007 at 10:45 am

Those are so cute! I’ll have to buy some.

We love to go to Corolla, NC (Outer Banks). There’s stuff for the whole family. We rent a beach house with a pool and walk to the beach with picnic lunches. There’s also shopping, movies, an aquarium, you can rent ocean kayaks, parasail, etc. We love it!

Lisa · May 20, 2007 at 11:32 am

We are going to Gaylord Michigan to camp out at the big ticket festival. My teens love the music and the baby will bop along. It is a great 3 days of music and worship.

Mary C · May 20, 2007 at 11:40 am

We’re going to the beach in South Carolina at the end of the summer. It will be our first real family vaction with both kids (and no grandparents!).

Melanie · May 20, 2007 at 1:37 pm

I will be going up to Manitoba, Canada to visit my entire family. Beautiful lakes, and wonderful places to camp. Nevermind getting to hang out on the farm with my dad.

Naomi · May 20, 2007 at 1:37 pm

We don’t have any vacation plans this summer because baby #2 is due at the end of July. Being enormously pregnant kind of cancels out travel at the beginning of summer and then having a tiny newborn (and getting our three year old daughter used to him) will probably rule out travel in August as well. Bad timing, unfortunately! My parents are going to Hawaii, where I grew up, right before my due date and had asked us to tag along but I had to say no. Very depressing.

jenB · May 20, 2007 at 2:24 pm

Mark and I are going to Vegas in July where he is playing in the World Series of Poker. It sounds cooler than it is. Charlotte is not going with us. I am also going to BlogHer in Chicago in Jooooly. And dude, I love the baby legs. Charlotte always wants to be naked, but she submits to babylegs and diaper. She is often in her bummi training pants and her babylegs.

Kathryn · May 20, 2007 at 5:40 pm

My FAVORITE place to go (and we’re not going this summer due to finances.. and I might even need to get a job, ACK) is my grandma’s farm in northern Alberta. I know that doesn’t help you much.. it’s SO peaceful and quiet up there.. and I”ve been holiday-ing up there my whole life. LOVE it!

I should win because we’ve ALWAYs wanted to try Baby Legs!

Cherylyn · May 20, 2007 at 6:07 pm

Being a SAHM my favorite holiday spot would be anywhere where my beautiful babies are not:). Actually I love Vancouver Island now that we are back in Canada, but when we lived in Texas I adored San Antonio! (Maybe not in the middle of summer though, kinda hot!) Ohh to be back on the riverwalk, sipping Margaritas…

Nenni · May 20, 2007 at 6:15 pm

I’m not going anywhere for summer vacation this year :( But I’m in maternity leave so I will hang around all the summer with my two girls :)

One of my favorite summer vacation was a few years ago when my oldest girl was a baby, we go to Banff, this place is beautiful!

Mary-Jo · May 20, 2007 at 6:23 pm

We are going to go to Manzanita, Oregon this summer for a wee vacation. It’s such a peaceful, serene setting on the ocean. Look forward to walking on the beach there and just hanging with the family… my other favourite summer destination is Nelson, B.C. It’s a funky little town set in the Kootenays, just love it there!

Magi · May 20, 2007 at 6:43 pm

Hope I’m not too late. My husband and I will be travelling down to Gulf Shores, Alabama. It’s right on the Gulf Coast. I’m from that general area, but now live in northern Indiana with my husband. He’s from Michigan. We’ll be introducing our new daughter to all my relatives down there. We’ve been home for just over a month with Sera. We adopted her from China, and she is now 13 months old and the light of our lives.

Janice · May 20, 2007 at 6:55 pm

We won’t be taking a real vacation this year. But my in-laws are coming to visit next month, and my sister in July for my son’s first birthday.

If I could, I would go to the big island of Hawaii. In my previous life I went to Hawaii twice a year. Man was I spoiled. It took me two trips to understand true relaxation. I miss the slow pace there, and exploring. The Big Island is the best for exploring

Angelique · May 20, 2007 at 7:15 pm

Our vacation starts in three days and we’re heading to Halifax, Nova Scotia! It’s our 10 month old daughter’s first visit to her dad’s hometown and we are SO excited.

Desi · May 20, 2007 at 7:38 pm

We haven’t any vacation plans, yet. With the price of gas being what it is, well, we’re thinking of just staying at the local Holiday Inn for a couple of days… I mean, the main thing the kids want to do when we go on vacation is swim at the motel anyway :-) I’m totally kidding of course, but we really don’t know what we’ll do and the price of gas is a huge factor… we’re thinking about going to Lagoon (near SLC) and/or driving up through Montana and Glacier Park (but we can’t go to Canada because I am not buying passports for all our kids!). We’re in Idaho, by the way.

Jen the Mom · May 20, 2007 at 7:44 pm

We’re going to Osoyoos which is in Western Canada. It’s got weather a lot like California so we’re planning on lounging around the beach and getting burnt this summer. It’ll be a nice change from the thunder and rain storm we’re getting right now. I guess it’s Spring Showers.

Filtering Life · May 20, 2007 at 8:37 pm

OOOOHHHH Baby Legs, I have heard so much about those. Put me in the pot.
We are “hoping” to go to Charleston, SC the end of the summer if all goes well. My husband and I are photographers so we are shooting weddings most weekends which makes going anywhere impossible. I have heard great things about Charleston and it is about 6 hours from my house and we have an infant…so I think we can swing it!

Mrs. Pear · May 20, 2007 at 9:20 pm

For our summer vacations we will be settling into our new home closer to where my husband works. Since October he has been commuting 80 miles EACH WAY to work while we tried to sell our home…it sold and we are moving on June 8. So that pretty much determines our plans!

Although in the fall we are hoping to get back to Canada to visit our families!

Aimee · May 20, 2007 at 10:26 pm

Hope I’m not too late! I’d love a pair of baby legs for my Juniper (3 months.)
We usually take advantage of the summer time off to visit old friends and relatives in Missouri, where I grew up. It makes me feel young again and shows my family where I came from.
