Where are the prizes?: I have upload prizes onto flickr (set called: Super September).

Just as the weather turns ARCTIC on us, I have to go shopping for www.thebabymarketplace.com spring season! A couple days of power buying ~ STRESS! It’s not very often you spend 100K under one roof in just a day or two! I find this REALLY difficult. What to choose?

The fun part is, I get to see all next seasons ‘in’ trends early. Rumor has it Deux par Deux has a new swimsuit line … should be nice. AND I can hardly wait to see Appaman … they have apparently expanded their line immensely.

Probably my favorite line is MishMish and apparently I am in good company, because Madonna and Baby David are liking it too!

Mish Mish

My new fall Mish Mish is in stock (Spring/Summer is on Sale), but I need to get it up on the site. I shouldn’t really be writing this blog, I should be working on the site. Oh well! Don’t panic, if you ordered before noon today, your order is on the way.

Sam in Mish Mish
Sam making his way home from school (taking the high road – go around the tree Sam … not over it!) in this his Mish Mish ‘See Ya Later Gladiator’ t-shirt (soon to be on my site).

AND I have the whole Mish Mish Winter 2007/2008 range of Samples. Basically, one of each item of the fall collection (could be any size NB to 10 years). I will have the samples with me until Tuesday.

At some point this weekend I will post them all on Flickr with sizing and prices. If you are interested in seeing them and maybe purchasing the samples @ wholesale price via paypal let me know. Email me @ kim @ mommyknows dot com. If I don’t get any emails … I won’t bother!

Here’s a sampling:

Mish Mish Boys Bomber Jacket
Boys Bomber Jacket (Size 2/3 – $31)

Wish me luck …

EVERY day in September I’m giving away free prizes (maybe more, but at least one). Just like in the past the winners will be randomly drawn and posted here on the site.

The winners will be able to choose one of any of the prizes listed on the flickr set: Super September. Once an item is chosen, it will be removed from flickr and will no longer be available (unless I have two … which I do for some).

All you have to do to win each day’s prize is leave a comment on the most current post.

All prizes are provided by: www.thebabymarketplace.com in conjuction with www.mommyknows.com

Lisa · September 12, 2007 at 11:02 pm

What a great job:) Picking out the new clothes sounds like fun but picking out the right stuff would be very nerve wrecking.

Kilikina · September 12, 2007 at 11:13 pm

good luck! :)

corey · September 12, 2007 at 11:24 pm

I can not imagine the stress…that is serious money. eeekkkkkkkkkk

glittersmama · September 12, 2007 at 11:38 pm

Wow. I get stressed out spending just a tiny percentage of that much money. Have fun!

Marcy · September 13, 2007 at 12:16 am

I love power shopping, wish I could do it more. lol I am a end of season power shopper lol.

Bree · September 13, 2007 at 1:29 am

WOW thats some serious cash! I would find it very nerveracking- yet…fun at the same time! :)

Carey · September 13, 2007 at 4:28 am

Cute jacket. Love the picture of your son in the tree.

Amanda · September 13, 2007 at 4:32 am

That is what I call some shopping spree! My problem is I would never want to sell it all to others then – I would want to keep it all! Especially after devoting all that time picking it out…

Susy-Q · September 13, 2007 at 6:40 am

Talk about a shopping spree! I have a hard time making up my mind when it comes to spending 100$! I can’t imagine 100k. It would more than likely take me years!

Kait · September 13, 2007 at 6:57 am

Sounds like such a fun job!

Happy Geek · September 13, 2007 at 7:10 am

I am such a fashion klutz that if I were to spend 100k it would be stuff that even a two year old would be eye-balling curiously. Thank heavens for fashionisitas like you, the clothes on your site are awesome!

Jamie · September 13, 2007 at 7:23 am

I don’t know how you do it. Blog. Be a business. Be a mom…

Kudos.

lace · September 13, 2007 at 8:09 am

How fun! That would be very difficult though. I have a hard enough time picking out just a few things.

Kami · September 13, 2007 at 8:13 am

A shopping spree sounds fun but I can see how it might be hard to choose!

Good luck :-)

Christina · September 13, 2007 at 8:16 am

Good luck, sounds like a lot of homework for ya!

Vicki · September 13, 2007 at 8:24 am

I love the details on the Mish Mish clothes. Cute stuff.

Montserrat · September 13, 2007 at 8:55 am

It’s a good thing you are so organized, right! We received our free top from the BLU clothing line. My four year old loves it! She refused to wear anything else for three days straight (that’s day and night). We finally got it off of her to wash it. :D

Jaime Stephens · September 13, 2007 at 9:10 am

I don’t think I could do it… too much money for me to spend forsure. Good luck with your shopping and I can’t wait to see the swimsuit line if it is true… we spend a lot of time outside at the beach in the summer and the girls practically live in bathing suits.

Beth · September 13, 2007 at 9:31 am

The clothes are really cute!

Joa · September 13, 2007 at 9:57 am

Ce doit être chouette de voir passer autant de beaux vêtements! …Et difficile aussi de résister à l’envie de tout garder pour nos enfants!

Tasha · September 13, 2007 at 10:03 am

I’d love to go shopping like that! You get to buy a whole bunch of stuff abd then get to sell it so the “guilt” factor of spending so much money doesn’t come into play! Yaaaay!

Alexia · September 13, 2007 at 10:05 am

Cute clothes!

I can’t believe all the work you do to put stuff on your site! You are awesome!

Diane · September 13, 2007 at 10:13 am

I would love to do some shopping for you!! Let me know when you are needing an assistant!

Heather · September 13, 2007 at 10:34 am

The clothes are fabulous and I loved the Madonna pic!

Andrea · September 13, 2007 at 10:41 am

Yikes! Good luck with all your shopping…I’m sure you’ll find some great stuff!! :)

Safire · September 13, 2007 at 11:34 am

Good luck!

Lucy · September 13, 2007 at 11:58 am

My mom has a gift store in Florida and I always try to go to the market in Atlanta with her to shop for the next season. It is such fun, but can be quite overwhelming! Have fun.

serina · September 13, 2007 at 12:21 pm

good luck!

Deb · September 13, 2007 at 12:22 pm

I think it would be great (and yes, somewhat stressful) to be able to pick out all those clothes!

Kelly · September 13, 2007 at 12:29 pm

Oh, I would totally not know what to pick!! I wouldn’t even know where to start! So many cute things, but what I think is cute isn’t always what other people think. :-/ I have so little sense of style… I wait for my sisters to come shopping with me to buy my own clothes! :-/

Deanne S. · September 13, 2007 at 1:14 pm

I would LOVE to do that kind of shopping!!! Can’t wait to see them.

Naomi · September 13, 2007 at 1:28 pm

How do you determine which sizes to order?!

Jade · September 13, 2007 at 1:43 pm

I found you through OMSH. Came to check out the free stuff because, well, free stuff and have stayed around for a bit of a read. You kids are beautiful.
Wishing you lots of energy for the shopping.

Michelle · September 13, 2007 at 2:15 pm

100K that would be stressful to pay out! But fun as well!

crabmommy · September 13, 2007 at 4:39 pm

Good Lord, MK! 100K !!! I would simply abscond with the the money…it could get you quite far on the lam; probably at least good for one year of hiding in the Caribbean.

Now, I don’t have even 1K worth of merch over at Crabmommy, because, as MommyKnows, Cmommy is the Cheapmommy and she lives in a PREFABRICATED HOUSE next to a TRAILER COMPOUND of COWBOYS…But I AM giving away a few tubes of fancy too-pricey-for-me-to-buy lip balm in my September giveaway. Put your name in the hat, lady! Mommyknows she deserves to get as well as give free loot. Anyone else interested, put ‘yer name in the hat (or rather, leave your name in my comments at Crabmommy). I close the competition in just a few days, so…hotclick it over there!!

Tamara · September 13, 2007 at 5:30 pm

I just came across your site – great stuff!

Kendra · September 13, 2007 at 5:38 pm

I am gonna have to check out Mish Mish!

PamW · September 13, 2007 at 5:55 pm

Aww, all the clothes you put on your site are so cute, I can hardly wait. And it’s hard for me to turn down a good deal, I’ll be checking out your flickr site!

katie bowen · September 13, 2007 at 7:23 pm

love the pics…i need to check out your camera info. i need to win because i need a cheap thrill that doesn’t involve anything to crazy. win baby win…

Jenny M · September 13, 2007 at 7:25 pm

How exciting! It must be tough to buy and not want to completely outfit your kids in such great stuff!

Suzanne · September 13, 2007 at 7:31 pm

Do you ever find that your kids have so many clothes they don’t really wear them out?

Monica · September 13, 2007 at 9:00 pm

My little boy is growing like a weed. Maybe I need to check out some of those brands for him!!

Laura · September 13, 2007 at 9:08 pm

I used to do some purchasing for a retail store and whee…! It is fun when it is someone else’s money. Not that I wasn’t painstakingly careful about my choices… probably more than the owners actually were. Still, shopping is shopping. :D :D :D

Angella · September 13, 2007 at 9:51 pm

I’ve been feeling burdened this week, but YOU AMAZE ME.

Big hugs!

xoxoxoxoxo

Charlotte · September 14, 2007 at 7:05 am

Deb · September 14, 2007 at 7:35 am

I can’t believe how old Madonna’s daughter is!

Asha · September 14, 2007 at 8:12 am

I think it will be great fun to go shopping with 100K in hand. I am sure you must be enjoying. All the best for your shopping.

kelli · September 14, 2007 at 8:21 am

Heather · September 14, 2007 at 8:27 am

Nikki · September 14, 2007 at 2:17 pm

Good luck…I hope you get your work done. Is your husband home on the weekends to hang with the kids while you work?

PamW · September 14, 2007 at 5:47 pm
