Some people just have no clue that good people exist. Sounds like that person may be jealous that you have loyal readers who care and will back you up.

  • Colleen December 11, 2007, 8:52 am

I too have been the lucky recipient and was SOOO excited to win a very cute pair of pants for my daughter! I really appreciate your site and your generosity with your prizes! I hope that one “bad” apple does not spoil your view towards the masses! :) Oh, and I must note that my prize pants came in the mail rather quickly and at NO expense to me! Thanks again!!!

  • Deanne S. December 11, 2007, 12:23 pm

That’s too bad about the attitude.

Someone chose to blame you over Canada Post???

  • Heather December 11, 2007, 1:20 pm

I won (and received) the cutest pair of baby legs a few months ago; so, no, I certainly don’t think it’s a hoax!

  • Naomi December 11, 2007, 2:03 pm

I’ve won gorgeous stuff for both my kids! And ordered great stuff from your store, too. It’s win-win all around, in my book.

    Silly billy.

  • mama k December 11, 2007, 2:29 pm

So sorry that happened to you. Even when you are doing something nice ppl can still be jerks.

I won twice since you started your giveaways! My DS was wearing the BabyLegs just yesterday in fact. I hope that one sour grape doesn’t ruin this for ya. :)

  • Jaime Stephens December 11, 2007, 2:31 pm

Twice through your blog and once as baby of the week on your site)… and I’ve received everyone of my multiple orders from your site. Everything is absolutely beautiful and I love it all!

No hoax. I will add my support–although you have received quite a bit already! I was so excited that I won. I kept telling my hubby about your blog and he was actually asking me occasionally, “So, did you win anything yet?”. You bet darlin’, and I am one happy Momma. Winning things is FUN!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  • Michelle December 12, 2007, 12:51 am

Oh, geez, some people. So sorry, but whatever. I can’t even think of anything to say about that, because really, what *is* there to say? I’ve won more than once, and I think you’re absolutely fabulous. So there.

I am so sorry. People can be mean. I have won twice and LOVE my prizes. My kids were dressed for success this summer at the beach with your great prizes.

  • Michelle December 12, 2007, 2:27 pm

Definitely not a hoax – we got our free prize quickly. Some people can be so rude. How about asking before accusing???

  • lace December 14, 2007, 10:49 am

I just received my prize a couple of days ago. Thank you. You are so generous.

There are a lot of winners on this site.

  • Denette December 17, 2007, 11:00 pm

Not a hoax at all and even got here fast from Canada! I’m ready to win again…you know just for conformation that your not a hoax. It’s a scientific study, nothing I can do about it!

  • XX December 20, 2007, 6:25 pm

Okay, now for what ACTUALLY happened:

I won a prize in October. Sent my address and didn’t hear back anything, so I wrote two totally polite follow-up e-mails in October and November to make sure that she had received my address.

    Here’s one:

I don’t mean to be a pain, really, but I’m worried I might be getting caught in a spam trap or something. Could you just let me know if you got my previous e-mails? I’ve been accosting my mailman while waiting for my excellent prize to arrive. ;)

No response at all. I thought I might be getting caught in a spam trap, so I posted here to ask if my e-mails were getting through. She wrote back, “Your prize shipped.” In December, still nothing had arrived. I e-mailed to tell her that, and got no response again.

So, essentially, it was after being repeatedly ignored that I wrote to say I was disappointed, and that she seemed honest on her blog.

I’m glad the rest of you have had good experiences. To me, it’s extremely strange to ignore a person to that extent and to be this rude to try to embarrass me when my only “crime” was that I never received what I was supposed to receive, and eventually said something about it!

Kim, are you really getting your jollies watching people calling me a jerk and an idiot over this?

  • MommyKnows December 20, 2007, 6:59 pm

XX … now that you have received your prize … you might want to try “thank you!”

  • jw4mkc December 21, 2007, 9:19 am

Wow XX – It is the internet! I mean, embarassed?? I know I don’t know you personally, so what do you care what I or anyone else thinks. To call someone dishonest who runs a ‘living’ on the internet is very bold when there are apparently so many others who can validate that she is anything but dishonest. I did not get my prizes the next day by any means. Like others have said, it was free! Can you really complain if it takes a while? I won a cookie making contest 3 weeks ago and am supposed to be getting a prize package from them. I had hoped it would come before Christmas, but I would NOT dare contact them and complain!! Also, spam?? Please, honey.. With all the comments, etc and pictures of her kids, etc – if she was a spammer, that is just sick! So, XX, who cares if people call you a jerk or idiot?? I am sure you were right there with us all when the guy sent Mommyknows the white powdery substance that was nothing and we were all up in arms. OH..and I doubt that Mommyknows is getting her ‘jollies’ by having her business name ran through the mud over doing a good thing like giving ungrateful, impatient people free EXPENSIVE gifts!! Oh..but then again..I musn’t say those things, someone who noone knows might get embarassed..heck this time maybe me? – Nah..I don’t care.

  • Naomi December 22, 2007, 4:52 pm

Sorry you’re having a problem, sorry that people take things personally and act like it’s high school, sorry, sorry, sorry…

I replied back to a vitriolic anti-Obama (he’s a terrorist/muslim/black) chain email that my husband’s grandmother forwarded, suggesting that perhaps people should read and research information before blindly passing it along. His aunts shot back at me, berating me for being mean to an old lady! I don’t think that being 80 gives you license to not think. Grrr. People should think before they press the “send” button.
