MommyKnows … babies and markers don’t mix!

Published by on

Your probably wondering … “why if you know not to mix babies and markers is your BABY eating blue ink?” And my answer would be, “don’t just blame me there were 3 other adults in the room too!” Well 2 1/2 – one is just a teen-ager and the other a man, but still I’d prefer to share the blame. To be perfectly honest all 4 of us were working on various computers and my attention was focused on the great pictures of the newest product at www.thebabymarketplace.com –> BabyLegs (these really are cool). I was just really grateful she was quiet and not whining, which after 4 children I should have known meant TROUBLE.

Yikes, we are not sure what happened to our happy baby … about 5 weeks ago Georgia got sick and WHAM the nearly constant whining started, at first it was no big deal, she is a baby – she’s sick – she’ll get better and it will stop – right? NOPE … not right, if anything it is worse! Of course, this was only moments after patting ourselves on the back and congratulating ourselves on what a happy, bright and good tempered baby were raising. Of course, when your children are good it is 100% your doing, it’s absolutely the result of the finest and finely tuned parenting skills. When they are not behaving … well they probably picked that up from the sitter and other naughty children whos parents aren’t as skillful as you! (Don’t write me hate mail … I am joking). Moral of the story … ummm … don’t blow your own horn … ’cause it will always come back and bite you on the ASS eek … BUTT.

Any suggestions?

Well since I was the one cleaning up this mess I would just like to stress the importance of washable markers! The cleanup actually wasn’t so bad Georgia really likes her new tummy tub so it’s easy to get her in some water and cleaned up without making a huge mess.

Kim,

I bet you were glad that she did not get hold of a permanent marker!

Love the blue lips! My daughter has just started to experiment with markers too! On her cloths, on her hair–did you know markers make GREAT temporary hi-lites?!

LOVE Baby Legs!!! We just bought my daughter a pair at Christmas. They are great under her sleepers to keep her legs warm! We bought the pink herringbone ones.

I didn’t know they made GREAT temporary hi-lites, but I will try it out. Lizzy is always begging to do hi-lites or “streaks” to which I alway give a negative response.

I do use them to do face painting sometimes … we did some great animal faces … I might blog a couple of those picks … a good idea for my newsletter.

LOVE baby legs too! The kids have tons of them … Lizzy and Sam share the black skelton (bones) for soccer … they work great over the shin pads. They are 6 and 7 and other kids love them :) too!

OMSH! The curls – the adorable curls. Why do I have the desire to sing the smurf song? She’s like smurfette – blue mouth and blonde hair.

Hey, at least it wasn’t red dye #40, right?
