We have 4 Winners!

#8 – Daisymom
#17 – Sneekerchik
#6 – Emma
#15 – Laurie

Note: tonight’s winners were drawn by my son Sam (Isn’t he cute? Feel free to follow link to flickr and agree with me!).

*************

I can’t list all of my favorite things, it would take too darn long and honestly, because it’s Thursday night and I NEED to watch Survivor. I am ashamed to admit it, but I’m still hooked after all these years.

I do have some favorite blogs (see my blog roll). Lately, I have been hooked on Confessions of a Pioneer Woman and here is my favorite post. It’s about her retarded brother Mike and it soooo makes me laugh.

It’s also DAY 4 of May Madness and I am going to give away a favorite too!

Today’s contest is for FOUR Crocodile Creek Placemats. One of my favorite times of day is dinner with the family. We sit down together 7 nights a week. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t cook 7 nights a week, but we set the table and sit together every night. The placemats make for good conversation starters with the kids. They like the maps, letters, animals etc.

So today I am going to give away FOUR placemats (you can pick your favorite from our site), so FOUR winners! BUT, if I get more than 50 comments I will give away TEN placemats to TEN different winners, so tell your friends.

Crocodile Creek Placemats

These tough and durable placemats are fun and educational. Easy on Mom, they simply wipe clean once the fun is done.

To win you have to leave a comment. In your comment give me a link to YOUR favorite blog post. It can be YOUR blog or any other blog. I can hardly wait to see all the great posts!

I’m giving away a FREE product every day until the end of May. Read more here: Contest Details

I could use these cute placements for my son. He just can’t seem to resist blowing bubbles with his milk and creating various other “science experiments” as he calls them, at the dinner table. Placements, would be a good thing!

Richard · May 11, 2007 at 1:06 am

Placemats.. babies.. do we really need more of an explanation than that??

nikkapotamus · May 11, 2007 at 7:27 am

Oh my goodness! The dog placemat is so cute (well they all are) and my daughter is SOOO into doggies. That is, until they actually get close enough to give her a kiss, then they are the most frightening things on the planet.

Have you ever seen the PBS series, “1900 house”? They also did another one about “Pioneer house,” and several others. The Pioneer Woman site reminded me of it.

How exciting for me to open up email this morning and find out that we are the winners of the Zoolio toy! Thank you and what fun!

Emma · May 11, 2007 at 8:22 am

I just found a link to your site from dooce.com (my favorite blog).

Jenny T · May 11, 2007 at 8:55 am

Wow, do we ever need placemats!!! A 3 year old and an 18 mo. old pretty much = a mess at dinner time.

Next to Amazing Race (I’m still hooked), Survivor’s the bomb!

Daisymom · May 11, 2007 at 9:15 am

Fun placemats!!!!

My favorite blog post of the moment is here… http://www.theblogfathers.com/2007/05/09/an-inconvenient-poop/

My husband is a bit of a germ-o-phobe and it so reminded me of him!

Montserrat · May 11, 2007 at 9:37 am

Decided to actually click on the link to your blog that came in thebabymarketplace newsletter. :D

I like to read Confessions of a Pioneer Woman too! The placemats are darling.

My favorite post comes from my sister who lives in the city. I live on the farm so this is hilarious to me.

I am addicted to Survivor, too! Not sure who I want to win this season, though. The girls are totally letting us down… not even trying. I like Yao and Earl.

How come there are dog placemats, but no cat ones? I think it’s species-ist!

Beth · May 11, 2007 at 9:51 am

Our dear daughter loves to spread food as far as her arms can go. A placemat would sure save the day, and the tablecloth ;) My favorite blog right now is http://mybyrdhouse.blogspot.com/ . It has so many great crafts and ideas, and inspires me to want to do more.

Jen the Mom · May 11, 2007 at 10:55 am

I miss cable TV. We don’t even get peasant vision. It’s a cable box or nothing and right it’s nothing so I’ms tuck watching clips of Dancing With the Stars on Youtube.

I know it, I’m uber lame-o.

Zelatrice · May 11, 2007 at 11:12 am

It’s funny and éducational! I like variaties!

Leng Lim · May 11, 2007 at 11:13 am

My 22 month(tomorrow) old b/g twins could use placemats. You should see the mess that they make ! My dd normally finishes most of her food and leave some behind while my ds will take a few bites and leave most of the food in the bowl and invert the bowl.
I love reading about blogs on multiples. This is one of my favorite : http://maddenandbellamy.blogspot.com/

Laurie · May 11, 2007 at 11:16 am

We saw some cute placemats in the Wild Oats last weekend. These look even cuter. I’d love one!

Kait · May 11, 2007 at 11:24 am

These are so much cuter than the plain colored ones I am currently using!

sneekerchik · May 11, 2007 at 11:30 am

Anything to help make cleanup after a messy dinner is an asset in house!

Katie · May 11, 2007 at 11:51 am

The Pioneer Woman is hilarious! And her photography is absolutely beautiful. Of course it helps if you are head over heels for anything in Wranglers and a hat.

Right now my favorite blog posts are the weekly installments of Tragic Love Friday at Frema’s blog. Frema wrote these stories when she was 14 and she posts an installment every Friday. The first one is here: http://www.lookingatfrema.com/2006/11/tragic_love_fri_3.html
and here’s the category listing:

My Bubba is still in a highchair, but we do have dinner together everynight. Sometimes we drag the chair into the dining room. Other times *blush* we all sit on the living room floor. A placemat of his own would be perfect when he transitions to the table.

My favorite blog post of the moment is: http://kerflop.com/2007/04/09/it-was-a-good-day/.

Aunt Amy · May 11, 2007 at 1:07 pm

I actually have some of these crocodile creek placemats and love them (and we’d love to have more!)

A post I wrote back in January about my daughter is one I really like, though it probably won’t mean much to an outsider, the link is here:

Katie · May 11, 2007 at 1:19 pm

My two and a half year old insists on using a grown up placemat. Perhaps some new ones would persuade her otherwise. Very cute!

Daisymom · May 11, 2007 at 1:30 pm

I’ve already posted commented once today so you probably shouldn’t count this for an entry. I just read this blog post and had to share – it immediately ranked among one of my favorites… http://lifesjestbook.typepad.com/menita/2007/05/polly_drives_by.html#more

Bek · May 11, 2007 at 1:40 pm

So glad I ran into your website. My twins LOVE placemats and the dollar store ones are not up-to-par! I love that you sit down to meals every night – WE DO TOO! My girls use theirs for every meal.

Thanks for all the other info on the site!

Cherylyn · May 11, 2007 at 1:41 pm

So, pioneer woman is also my favorite blog, she has to be the funniest person on the planet, and the placemants are very cute. We are moving my littlest one out of the highchair and the cool placemat may ease the transition. Salsainchina.blogspot.com is also a rocking blog.

Elise Vajsabel · May 11, 2007 at 2:53 pm

I’m the mother of a 3 year old, an 18 month old and a baby on the way. I could use these great placemats!

Amanda · May 11, 2007 at 3:33 pm

I love Pioneer Woman – it’s how I found your site, actually! And of course I love my own blog (www.onecarbonhill.blogspot.com). It’s changed my life. Okay, not really, but I am having a lot of fun with it!

The placemats are too cute. An almost three year old and a one year old don’t make great friends with my current “fancy” placemats.

Jennifer Walker · May 11, 2007 at 4:27 pm

My 15-month old son has just started to complain when we put him in his highchair, so now we’ve got a booster seat highchair so he can sit at the table with us. We haven’t gotten any placemats for him yet, so he still needs to use the booster seat tray.

Corey · May 11, 2007 at 5:01 pm

I found your website because my friend Yan posted one of my blog posts as a favorite and you left me a nice comment. Thank you! :)

I am especially proud of a recent maternity photo session I did.

http://livingandlovingeveryminuteofit.blogspot.com/2007/05/not-so-sure-what-i-was-expecting.html

and I would love to win some prizes. :)

jenB · May 11, 2007 at 6:10 pm

We were gifted ONE of the placemats. If there is ever another kid over they fight to the death to see who gets to use it.

katie bowen · May 11, 2007 at 6:20 pm

these might help protect our new table! having a messy toddler creates the need for this super cute product! hope we win!

Christine L. · May 11, 2007 at 7:30 pm

Awesome looking placemats!!!
Here’s my little picture blog…. mostly to keep the grandparents, who live half a world away, happy!!

Those placemats look so cute! My daughter would love them!!! They might help to keep her amused while hubby and I finish our meals.

Here’s a link to our family website: http://www3.telus.net/highwood/wed/

Jennifer Bogart · May 11, 2007 at 9:09 pm

Wow – placemats, that would keep my baby busy, so many colours to look at and play with. I can’t believe she ate half of a banana today…in one sitting! She’s getting so big! 13 months = 29 lbs.

Clare · May 11, 2007 at 9:59 pm

Wow! These look great! This is one thing I actually DON’T have! We use boring old “adult” placemats. My daughter would love these. I need something that will keep her at the table! Haha.
