The main man over at TUFFO.com (Kevin) generously donated a TUFFO Water Resistant Blanket for today’s give-away! Kevin is the genius behind the Muddy Buddy too!
I *HEART* today’s give-away. I like it so much (and I have so many kids) that I could almost keep it for myself. Two TUFFO Water Resistant Blankets would be even better than one. I am picturing one for the big people, it would be the one without sand and dirt and spilt ranch dip (thank you Geogia!) and then one for the little people, it of course is the one with sand and dirt and ranch dip.
Today Samy and Lizzy’s school held a family picnic; it was the perfect opportunity to use our TUFFO Water Resistant Blanket and I hate to brag (well not really), but it was by far the best blanket at the picnic.
Sorry :( I didn’t get the best picture, Georgia was ummm … ~wild~ (to say the least) and running full speed through the crowd, my picnicing neighbor decided to help me by staging the shot and shoved plates complete with bananas in the hands of my confused children. I know they’re thinking – we don’t like ‘blinking’ bananas and why are they on a plate!? Still, it rained the night before, the grass was really wet and thanks to our blanket, we didn’t leave the picnic with ‘wet grass ass bum’!

At Miller Outdoor Theatre in Houston-visting grandparents-it’s always raining there!!
Pam · June 26, 2007 at 11:34 pm
OH MY GOSH I NEED ONE OF THOSE BLANKETS!!! I was trying to think of what I could layer together to make a thin but comfortable waterproof blanket since we head to Hawrelak Park and the Leg often and the blanket I bring that’s older than me…and probably the dirt that’s on it, isn’t the most ideal thing.
Plus that blanket is looking pretty trendy…I would really really super appreciate winning one of them. Besides, who am I kidding, with an active stair climbing fearless baby I don’t really have much time to sew up a blanket for picnics and park trips but this Tuffo one would be perfect!!!! It would also be good for the backyard, the park, outdoor playdates, hanging out at the Leg and Hawrelak park, camping, the fishing trip planned with the inlaws in July…I can’t name enough places I would use it!

My kids live on an ISLAND… ’nuff said.
Yan · June 27, 2007 at 12:43 am
Cool blanket, we could use it in the backyard and the park for picnics.
Mrs. Pear · June 27, 2007 at 12:46 am
We love to play outside, but we have to play early before it gets too hot, or late, after all we live in southern California! So I would use it on our front lawn when we play in the morning so that we all stay dry!
I am also planning a picnic breakfast for my family at a nearby park so we can play in the cool morning, so I would definitely use this blanket then…
are two occasions enough or shall I continue?????
Kait · June 27, 2007 at 4:40 am
Cute. Most water resistant blankets I’ve seen are ugly. I would take it to my siblings’ soccer games.
Marla · June 27, 2007 at 6:06 am
My husband, 3yo son and myself go to see the NASA shuttle launches when we are in FL. Last winter, it was really cool and boy oh boy a blanket would have been a good thing….waterproof even better! OF course, we would use it far more often than just then.
Susy-Q · June 27, 2007 at 6:40 am
What a brilliant product–everybody hates wet-grass bum! We picnic often and this blanket would be great. I often walk to my husband’s work with my son and we have a picnic together for lunch. There is a nice park beside his work but we have had to deal with wet grass on a few occasions. This blanket would be perfect for us! Lucky number 8!?
maddiesmom · June 27, 2007 at 6:43 am
That is a great product! We would use it all the time in the nearby park. I like how big it is so she can roll around on it and not touch the grass.
nikkapotamus · June 27, 2007 at 6:53 am
ooOOOooooh! a new beach blanket! we live on Lake Michigan and take frequent trips to the beach, or to the bluff to watch the lake, or to the park near the beach with the slides.
Victoria · June 27, 2007 at 6:58 am
nice blanket… with my growing family it would be great
Naomi · June 27, 2007 at 7:09 am
I think the Tuffo would be great to keep in the trunk of the car, for impromptu picnics. It would also be great in our backyard, since we’ve been having an unusual amount of rain this summer. I hate wet spots on my bottom!
Alexia · June 27, 2007 at 7:13 am
The Tuffo would be awesome for just sitting outdoors while my 1-yr-old plays! I hate sitting on the grass, my bum always feels wet when I get up!
Cheryl · June 27, 2007 at 7:14 am
I would love to have a Tuffo around for my impromptu park outings with my kids! I’m sure it would even make a great tablecloth on a picnic table!
Lucy · June 27, 2007 at 7:41 am
These would be great to have!
Lacey · June 27, 2007 at 8:15 am
The place I would use the Tuffo is in my yard. This would be great for my 8 month old niece who has just discovered that she hates to sit on, stand on, or even touch the grass. It would also be great when my older niece and I go to the park for story hour this summer.
Deanne S. · June 27, 2007 at 8:26 am
We would use it in our yard lots, and at the beach, and for the fireworks on July 1st (well only if I won, and could pick up the prize!) You are so funny, I love the idea of the kids having their own!
Marcy · June 27, 2007 at 8:57 am
Oh there is no Doubt that this would be a PARK blanket. But in reality it is an EVERYWHERE blanket. We would probably keep it in the Van because it would be used so much.
Carol · June 27, 2007 at 9:22 am
I would use this everywhere with my granddaughters. Concerts at the park, picnics in the yard, popsicles on the porch, forts in the living room, this looks like a very useful item to own.
Priya · June 27, 2007 at 9:36 am
I guess I will be using it for potty training my baby, she is poo trained but pees are a different thing altogether. I have 2 thick comforters in her play area but sometimes it gets too damp and I am worried about the carpet. I could use 2 of these under the comforter.
glittersmama · June 27, 2007 at 9:58 am
The beach!!
Lesha Anderson · June 27, 2007 at 10:34 am
Love it!
Jaime · June 27, 2007 at 10:45 am
what an awesome blanket! we deffinatly could use one of those. I have a 1 year old who doesn’t understand the concept of keeping the wet sandy feet off the blanket. lol And also I live in BC Canada…on the west ‘wet’ coast…so it can be pretty damp at times :)
great give aways!
Kilikina · June 27, 2007 at 11:06 am
Oh i LOVE these types of things. Count me in.
I would use it the most at the park. Our local park has free stuff (events) to go to all the time and it is so fun. They have outside movie nights, or once they had an Indian Pow Wow….
What an awesome invention!
MK's Mom · June 27, 2007 at 11:09 am
I really need one of those blanets so when I take my grandkids, Lizzy, Sam & Georgia to the beach or camping we will have a great blanket to use!! What about it daughter?!
Mom
Daisymom · June 27, 2007 at 11:15 am
I totally need one of those. We love to spend the summer outside and my little girl is not used to the grass or sand. They hurt her poor little feet. She also tends to spill anything near her (she takes after me!) so having something that can be cleaned easily is a must!!!!
Kristin · June 27, 2007 at 11:20 am
Hi!!!
I’ve read your site for a while now, and I feel cheesy commenting JUST because I want to win something. However, here I am doing it.
Anyways, I would like to win this blanket because I need to spend more time with my little girl outside! It’s such a great blanket… and like every other commenter – we would get great use out of it! We live right by a playground on a lake, and there’s tons of grass for picnicking.
Thanks for giving away all of these neat products. You’re so kind to do so, even if not everyone can be a winner!!!!
Kristin
haley · June 27, 2007 at 11:21 am
I would love one of those blankets! It would get used for frequent summer picnics in the backyard and at the park.
Andrea · June 27, 2007 at 11:26 am
Ohhh…I would love one of these blankets!! They look so handy! I would use it most in the backyard or else when we go camping with the camper we just bought!! :)
Sue at nobaddays · June 27, 2007 at 11:31 am
We SO need one of these for the park, the beach, camping, the backyard. Beautiful – thanks for the chance to win!
Mama K · June 27, 2007 at 11:35 am
We are beach bums over here and this would definitely come in handy! Sitting on your towel which you also use to dry off with is not such a great idea.
hmama · June 27, 2007 at 11:54 am
Need it! Well ok, want it. Thanks!
Diane · June 27, 2007 at 12:01 pm
Camping this weekend in Penticton BC or it would also be especially handy when boating in the summer evenings with our little one.
Nicole · June 27, 2007 at 12:10 pm
That looks like the perfect kind of blanket for music festivals, but since we don’t go to a lot of those we’d probably use it more often for picnics.
Mefeng · June 27, 2007 at 12:22 pm
Great blanket! We would use it in the park nearby which we go everyday.
jw4mkc · June 27, 2007 at 1:06 pm
Wow. How neat! Well, I would use it at the park or lake for Harlie to sit on and keep that diaper dry..or better yet – Central & NorthCentral Texas has become Seattle – Don’t know if you know, but it floods daily and rains like it is insane. The 3pm daily rains we had in Louisiana are nothing compared to this – I mean floods! It is not rare to hear of at least one water rescue every other day… So, I would cover Harlie with the blanket to run in and out of stores – So much easier than an umbrella – You canNOT run with them.. :)
Safire · June 27, 2007 at 1:10 pm
Looks like an awesome blanket! I could use one of those weekly at our community’s outdoor kid concert. I’m tired of getting my butt wet to expose my kid to something other than tv. Pick me! :)
kerflop · June 27, 2007 at 1:24 pm
Oh man, I have been eyeing those forever. I’d love one!
Emily · June 27, 2007 at 1:35 pm
Lovely blanket. I can see us using it every week this summer at the zoo. I hate sitting in peacock and chicken poop.
Tasha · June 27, 2007 at 2:21 pm
Great shot of the picnic! I’d love to have a blanket like that when I take my now 7 week daughter to her grandparents cabin just outside of Prince George, but it would get the most use when she watches her daddy play soccer. (Who am I kidding, 7 weekd, she would lay on it and I would watch her daddy play!)
MonaB · June 27, 2007 at 2:54 pm
I would use this blanket almost anywhere! First thing I would do if I won this blanket is to take my 4 month old daughter into the backyard on a nice day and gaze up at the clouds.
alison · June 27, 2007 at 3:02 pm
I love these blankets! My sister-in-law has one that is absolutely wonderful.
pinks & blues girls · June 27, 2007 at 3:05 pm
Oooh, what a great blanket! Please enter me in the contest! I’d use it at the pool club… the towels I currently sit on are too small, and then once I use them to dry off after I go in the pool, sitting on a damp towel is no fun! :)

I would love to use the Tuffo water resistance blanket at the beach. We love to goto the beach all summer:)
Kami · June 27, 2007 at 4:25 pm
What a great idea. I am going to have to check those babies out! Sorry to hear about the dip incident – I have a son who likes to make the biggest mess possible. He’s quite good at it too ;-)
Deb · June 27, 2007 at 4:51 pm
I’d love the blanket…and I’d use it at my in-laws cottage this summer! Perfect!
Overwhelmed With Joy! · June 27, 2007 at 5:10 pm
I would absolutely LOVE winning this blanket, so please enter my name in the drawing!
All Spring and then again all Fall we go to outdoor pops concerts and this blanket would be fantastic for those events!
Cherylyn · June 27, 2007 at 5:30 pm
Love it! We picnic all summer, I find it easier to let the ants clean up from lunch than me having to do it. I’ve even fed them sandwiches in the back of the van and called it a picnic, so it would be very nice to have a blanket like that! I’ve got a 1 year old and 2 year old so it’s good to hear that the blanket cleans up well!
liz · June 27, 2007 at 5:49 pm
OOOH I LOVE IT LOVE IT.. i have something similar but it’s old and ragged now
Cathy · June 27, 2007 at 6:04 pm
Wonderful blanket! We picnic all of the time. It would probably be used most just at the park on nice summer days.
Vicki · June 27, 2007 at 6:11 pm
What a great blanket! We would it for going to the outdoor theater in the summer.
Becky Ketarkus · June 27, 2007 at 8:21 pm
Awesome blanket, with some very cute kids on it too!
Heather · June 27, 2007 at 8:52 pm
I have wanted one of these for so long! We go to the beach a lot and have picnics at the local park and ampitheatre. We also have a lot of roadside picnics on our long drives home and back. I
nate · June 27, 2007 at 9:01 pm
I could use this with my girls at the park or just at home in the yard.
Annie · June 27, 2007 at 9:33 pm
The park for sure is where I’d put this to use. But will I win? Likely not. Will have to just buy it, I suppose.
txhorns · June 27, 2007 at 9:47 pm
Of course the park, front yards for playing, poolside-that gravel hurts, and sitting in the grass watching the Independence Day parade and fireworks. We can also use it this fall when my daughter plays soccer!
Mary-Jo · June 27, 2007 at 10:46 pm
We live in the city, and don’t have a backyard so we would make great use of this blanket at parks and the beach!!
jenB · June 27, 2007 at 10:54 pm
I WANT ONE! Is that a decent enough plea? :-) Poor you and poor Georgia, I saw her shaving photos. :-(
Michelle · June 27, 2007 at 11:07 pm
That would be amazing for going to the beach – which we plan on doing this weekend!!
Michelle
