It’s been a long day, because it was a long, long night!
Lucky MommyKnows and DH had the pleasure of waking up with Georgia in our bed. I don’t have anything against co-sleeping, in fact when my babies were tiny and required middle of the night feeding and care, I preferred it, but once they start rolling and kicking, well “they’re outta there”.
So how’d it happen?
1 a.m. phone rings (picture staggering, barely conscience, worried MommyKnows!)
Caller: Is Clint there?
Me: You have the wrong number.
Caller: I have the wrong number?
Me: YES, you have the wrong number.
Caller: Linda?
Me: YOU.HAVE.THE.WRONG.NUMBER.
Caller: Who am I talking to?
Me: WHO. GIVES. A. FLYING … (it dawns on my foggy brain … oh, I can hang up … I don’t have to swear and argue and explain.)
Now calling a wrong number isn’t that bad, calling it @ 1 a.m. is NOT COOL (didn’t her mother teach her not to make phone calls after 10 pm?), but calling the wrong number @ 1 a.m. and asking stupid questions is VERY UNCOOL and just exasperating.
After an hour or so of sleepless tossing and turning … I dream of revenge. I dream about posting the callers phone # on my blog. She’ll be sorry … hundreds of strangers will be calling her. She’ll think twice before calling me in the middle of the darn night! It’s a good dream.
RING.RING.RING. – It’s 3 a.m. OMG! It’s the same twit! I just hang up, but I am steamed! Now Sam’s awake and yelling “is it morning?” This wakes Georgia’s and she’s crying and eventually this leads to me sharing my bed.

Today (Day 17 Thursday) & tomorrow (Day 18 Friday) I am giving away 8 SnapT’s, which are brand NEW, just on the site and very handy-dandy little doodads (they’re like the bib clips at the dentist only WAY cuter)! I have been using my sample for months. Each time thinking “now why didn’t I think of that?” At first, I wasn’t sure if they’d be all that handy … but they are! It saves space in the diaper bag, which is always at a premium. Even better it saves bringing the dirty bib home in the diaper bag and then forgetting about it (yuck). It works great in the car (think dripping cones from DQ). As long as you have a napkins … you have a bib.
Four winners will be picked for Day 17 and 4 winners for Day 18 (all names will be drawn on Day 18 (Friday) about 9 p.m.), in addition I’ll draw one additional name for the last item which is a Gypsy Diaper Pouch. We don’t have these on our site. One of our suppliers sent this along with some other items and while I’d love to use it, I have one :) and I am trying to cut back on the amount of “stuff” I collect.
A great all in on diaper organizer with pockets for diapers and wipes and a fold-out changing pad! Use one for each child and keep diaper sizes seperate in your diaper bag. It has a convient wrist and stroller strap to carry on its own, no more lugging around a full diaper bag on quick errands.

I think that you should continue the May madness into June because you keep showcasing cool products I may not know about otherwise. Also then I might have a better chance of winning something.
Plus things don’t really happen when they should here. Like SNOW. The outlaying areas got some snow today I heard (none that stuck I imagine) and Enviro Canada forecasted snow mixed with rain tonight. It’s the end of May. Snow? Okay, that turned into a bit of a rant… If there’s snow in May then why not a May madness in June?

Please keep up the good work. I am really enjoying reading your blog, it is addictive. Makes me feel normal – I am not the only one who gets calls in the middle of the night for no reason as at all.
I keep forgetting to buy a new alarm clock, so I use my cellphone alarm each evening. Which is usually okay but the other week, my best friend in England decided to send me three texts (which is really nice as I love hearing from her) but due to the time difference these texts came through between 3 and 4am waking my husband each time (as my phone makes a cool noise when a text arrives).
As you can imagine husband not particularly happy, especially when he realized that the texts were not a family emergency but my friend updating me on the latest UK reality tv show. After the 3rd text, I had to quickly send my friend a text to tell her to stop, as my husband threatened to throw the *****ing cellphone out of the window! Oops!

Those SnapT’s look really cool. I would love it if you continued the May madness into June. It would be nice to have more chances to win something, but more than that it’s been great to learn about all these neat products.
As a super busy mom, and what mom isn’t super busy, I don’t have a ton of time to shop for my kids. Being able to visit your blog and read about new to me baby gear and have a chuckle is awesome!

I love this comment section where I can learn about new products on the market and learn from others who have tried them. I really think you should keep on the May Madness into June. Free advertising is great and their is really nothing like showcasing new products. My husband and I are going to be taking our girls 7 months and 3 years old to Las Vegas in August(i know we are crazy) so the bib clips or Gypsy Diaper Pouch would be great to have in the travel gear. Has anyone brought kids there and have any recommendations about entertainment facilities. Oh and I definitely plan on renting a double jogging stroller down there – I figure they must have them at the hotels. Last time I went on a trip (kidless) to Victoria all the major hotels has them:)
Oh and I just purchased the water resistant blanket from the babymarketplace. Has anyone used one lately and love it? It looks really handy to me – I am all about the gadgets!

I LOVE the gypsy diaper thing. That would come in super handy since in a few weeks I’l have a baby which means two children in diapers…in two different sizes!
I think this should continue into June because I just found out about it a couple days ago and haven’t had much time to participate!!! Not that it’s all about me, but things like this keep me going right now in all my tiredness!

What a great idea! The clip is always there in your diaper bag and you just need to find a napkin. I have a very difficult time remembering to bring bibs… Also love the pattern on the gypsy diaper bag!

This site is awesome and so very down to earth. I found out through Pazam at the babycenter. Although I don’t know Pazam…thanks for the tip on a great site. I have passed the site down to 8 of my friends. You absolutely should carry May into June as I just found out about it. I never even heard of the Snap T’s……
As for the ridiculous phone calls….I have one that will make your jaw drop
ReadY? I got a new cell phone with a new number. I had given it to friends, family, work, etc…which is a normal thing. All was fine for about 6-7 months when all of a sudden I had a girl call and started talking to me not realizing I was the wrong person. She told me that she was “just released” today and wanted to start working agian and if I provide her with some “magic powder”! I told her she had the wrong number and hung up. She kept calling back, not believing me…then guys started calling and requesting for her, and asking for a half ounce etc….I was shocked. This went on periodically for about 3-4 months. Why I let it go on for this long I don’t have an answer for that. I phoned my cell phone provider and was told that there was nothing they could do but change my number for a fee. I didn’t want to change the number as so many people had it and you all know it is a pain to contact everyone. So I call the police and asked what could be done and of course I had to deal with it or change my number. SO from that day forward I answered the phone and when there was a request I kindly answered that “she” had a new phone number……I gave it to them……It was the local police phone number and occasionally I gave them the jail number. It took about 3 days but no more calls….It has been peace for about 2.5 years.

That really bites about the caller in the middle of the night. About 10 years ago, I moved and got a new number. It turns out that I had an old fax number, and fax machines would call me at all hours. Very annoying… but no little kids to wake up…. or I, too, would be plotting revenge.

Snap T’s look really interesting… I’ve seen Kipiis Bib clips which are similar in function, but pricey. Snap T’s would be a better choice if they were more economical!
