We’ve been hanging out in the Canadian Rockies (not Chicago … regardless of the title)!
Six black bears and one grizzly in one day! Woot … LOVE it!
They never stick around all that long after we pull up. I’m sure it’s not my kids yelling and screaming and fighting each other for the window. NO … that wouldn’t be it. Right?
I love to get a great wild animal shot, but I’ve never quite captured a great bear shot. I love this one of the ‘Western Canadian Monkey’ though!
Oops! Sorry Georgia.
It’s definitely a little easier getting up close and personal with these little cuties.
I need a bigger lens!
I’d love to see some of your ‘wild-life’ photos or just a few shots of the kids. Share your links in the comments :) Or just say, “hello!”

These pictures are AMAZING. Love the Canadian monkey one! And bears at that distance is very much close enough for me!
Living in the foothills of the Rockies (lower Alberta) you do see incredible wild-life sites. Lots of mountain sheep pictures.
Thank you.
Amazing photos, you have such a talent with the camera.
This is my first time here but I will come back to check out for more photos. I love the composition of those specific wildlife shots.
Awesome wildlife shots! (And that monkey, priceless!) Looks like your summer is going swimmingly. :)
WOW! I can’t believe you have BEARS wandering around where you camp! So different to NZ. We don’t have bears at all, but then we camp at the beach, not in the woods/by the lake. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your photos! The one of Georgia running is just fab! I imagine she is running from a bear! ;-D
I love the pictures! WIsh I could see a live bear. They’re beautiful!

@Will – Thank you ! They are beautiful. You need to add Banff and/or Jasper National parks in Alberta Canada to your bucket list.
