Christmas Cards! Can I Actually Make it Happen?

Published by on

I love getting Christmas cards. Sadly, because I never send them out, the number of cards coming in is starting to dwindle. Have I ever mentioned before, that I am a lazy woman? A very lazy woman who finds the task of picking out the Christmas photo cards, matching it up with the appropriate photos, making a list of recipients, gathering addresses and mailing a daunting task!

However, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to get holiday cards, so when offered the opportunity to
write a blog post about my three favorite holiday card designs from the new Shutterfly holiday collection, I figured it was just the kick in the pants I needed!

Also in my favour –> I have a head-start this year, as I did a fall photo-shoot with the kids (and I actually managed to edit several of them).

Here are my favourite cards in no particular order.

Starlight Joy Christmas

I love the simplicity of this card. I also think it would work well with one of the jumping shots I took of all four kids. They were so happy and full of joy.

I am going for simple again. I also love the fact that this card supports a charity. I also have just the right photos to use (important you know!).

Love Hope Joy

Holiday

This one isn’t quite as simple. I love all of the colour. Also now that Hayley is no longer living at home, she may want to send out her own cards and not be featured on mine. I think this might be a fun card to use if I’m just sending it from Mr. MK, myself, and the three youngest kids. This card also has some great inside layouts, so a group shot of the four is possible inside.

Now that I have the cards picked out, and even the photos, all that’s left is addressing and mailing. Did you know Shutterfly will stamp and mail them too? WoOt! I just might send out Christmas cards this year! (Psst … email me with your mailing addresses, OK?)

I love that they’ll add postage and mail them out for you too!

That’s funny. I’m sort of the same way when it comes to holiday cards. It is a daunting task. I also feel weird because I don’t have everyone’s address, so I have to call them up and ask for it. It’s weird and awkward. Anyway, you selected some really cute cards!

Thanks for turning me on to “Shutterfly”.
I was too late for the promotion but I liked the site
and picked up some valuable photography tips.
Hope to visit it more often in the future.
