EDIT: I’ve spent the morning going over the photos, and now THIS ONE is cracking me up!
* * *
I really wanted to get a GOOD group shot of my kids, the kids were great and posed for dozens of shots. I wasn’t so great. When I got home I found out my camera default settings were off, and I took a whole pile of improperly exposed photos. {Sam needs to leave my camera alone!}
This one makes me laugh. I really like it (after a LOT of processing), and it looks fine when it’s not too big, but I don’t think I’ll be able to blow it up and frame it.
I’ve taken a zillion photos of my kids and I don’t have a single one framed and on my walls. I’m waiting for photo perfection and it never happens.
The kids brought along a bunch of ‘dress-up’ props, although they didn’t particularly enjoy the ‘regular’ shots they really got a kick out of the fun stuff at the end.
Especially Georgia!
Do you take, frame and hang photos of your kids?

I take a million photos of my kids! I haven’t in a while, but I do like to frame them and put them up around the house. My favorite is a giant frame my husband bought for me with 16 places for pics (of various size openings). I found pictures that all had either red or blue in them and made a collage of photos that just look so delicious together. Some are of the kids, and some are of other random things that I like.
I love the photos of your kids! You should totally hang them up all over your house!
I used to be so good at developing photos, framing and sorting in albums. Since having my youngest however, my photo organization has gone down the crapper. It’s on my never-ending to-do list though. Does that count?
We do print and frame some of the ones we take. I’d probably do more if I wasn’t such a procrastinator but are walls are littered with photos of the girls.
I do print and hang a few pictures I take for the kids. Mainly only once a year at their birthday, though. Then it’s not TOO overwhelming.
Love that jumping picture though. That’s worth a hang on the wall for sure. :)
My sister was talking once about looking for perfect shots of her boys, and she ended up instead with a series of 4 framed shots of each of them (4 shots of each kid in his own frame) that are a fabulous progression. Probably none of them was good enough to be big and framed on its own, but in a series was so cute. Perhaps that would work? As I recall, the youngest is crying bloody murder in all 4 of his. And it’s awesome :)
I also have (from her) framed “goofy faces” of all the boys. Once from about 4 years ago, and another recent one, where all four are just making funny faces, and in one frame. I think I even scanned the old one. Let me see if I can find it.
@Margaret –> Now that you’ve inspired me to consider the bloopers as possible favs. I’ve edited the post with my new favourite group shot.
LOVE the group shot(s)! You know why? They look like they like each other, and I can hear them laughing. They’re in focus, it’s a pretty day — I think those two you posted together would be darling in a divided frame :)
I’m also totally in love with the sailor hat shot :)
@Antof9, You are so full of great ideas Missy!
Your kids are awesome (just like their Momma). :)
@Angella, Thanks Angella!
Great photos!!!! Love the group shots :-)
@Hannah Jacobsen Blair, Thanks Hannah! Group shots are so hard.
Yup, love them all. I think they’re absolutely good enough to frame and hang on the wall! And even if they’re ‘imperfect’ they’re still beautiful.
@Pauline Graham, Thanks Pauline, I have to get over the technical issues and just enjoy the photos.
Thanks Hannah!
I love the first jump shot because the kids are all having fun….makes me smile. I think the second one is a better photo of their faces.
@Gayle, Thanks Gayle. I love Georgia in the first picture. Her timing was just a little off.
but the pictures are good, really! it made me smile, esp. seeing the children. reminds me of my carefree days too. they’re good, so frame ’em up. when the kids have all grown up, they will even thank you for “framing” them…lol
@heng827, Thank you Heng!
