Pancake Art

Published by on

If I didn’t waste my time on projects like this:

bacon and eggs

I’d have to do something useful like tackle the mountain of laundry in my basement, AND well, I wouldn’t want to have to do that. Instead, I coloured the pancake batter and whipped the kids up some bacon and eggs.

Then a flower or two …

daisy

and then a small plateful of polka dot pancakes for me.

Now I promise I am going to tackle the laundry. Maybe …

Very cute! The kids must have been thrilled. I used to make the boys’ initials when they were little, but this is so much more creative. If only laundry was that much fun.

@Gayle, Georgia and Lizzy really liked it. Sam said they were cool, but he was too full (of cereal) to eat. :)

I’m always making shapes and stuff too, but it’s much easier with a squirt bottle than a label.

Kim, you are just so creative!! Where the heck are you getting your ideas from?? What did you use to get the colors? Just food coloring in the pancake mix?

@Jo, Thanks Jo! I saw this on the internet :) Link is above. I used food colouring and added a bit more milk to my regular recipe so make it a bit easier to work with.

Amazing. How do you keep yourself from munching on it even before it’s completely done?! haha
