OH NO it’s November!

For those of us above the 49th parallel, November generally means the end of fall and beginning of winter (snow and freezing temps). For me it means lost mittens and hats, melt downs over outerwear (see previous year –> here) and a much larger heating bill. It’s painful.

Last year I took the pain one step further and I did the NaBloPoMo requiring me to write a blog post each day in the month of November or admit defeat (no defeat admitting permitted here). To spice life up a little, I started my medication (eight injections a week) and decided to drive to California, take part in the Disney machine and drive home again all in 10 days.

No biggy! (Bwahahahaha). I am not doing it again though, I’ve been there and done that.

So this year I decided to step it up a notch, I am doing NaNoWriMo instead and I am writing a novel. The only rules, write a 50000+ word novel in November.

Word count so far: 10316 of 50000 –> so far, so good.

Any ideas for blog posts in November? Any questions for me?

Okay, I have lots of ideas for you…

– Ideas for homemade christmas decorations
– Ideas for homemade christmas baking
– With the colder weather coming, how to solve the missing mitten mystery?
– Go to the mountains and do a great blog entry from there, make us all jealous
– Do your children do any sports? Tell us about them.
– Santa lists, how do your kids make them, do they have a limit of how many things they can put on them?
– What do you think are going to be this season’s “hot” toys?

@Angella, Thanks Angella! What would really kill you though, is reading it! It’s rather horrible … in a quantity not quality sort of way. Then again, most Harlequins are like that … I like to set the bar low.

Wow! I can’t believe your tenacity! Good for you! And you have 1/5th of your novel written in 1/10th of the allotted time – you rock!

@Nikki, The job is yours! Umm … Nik … don’t quit your day job, K?

Safire · November 4, 2009 at 8:59 pm

What’s the novel about? Can we get a plot line? I briefly thought about doing that this year too but I couldn’t figure out what to write on.

@Safire, It’s a typical romance. It hasn’t been difficult to come up with ‘text’, but I’m pretty sure mine will the only eyes that ever read it. It’s that bad.

November idea -Fatest Turkey Competition

People can send in pics of the turkeys they are preparing and maybe even send in pics of friends they don’t like.

I know the feeling about the rain as every day so far it’s rained here.

However I do love November it’s the calm before the storm of Christmas.

Good Luck with your novel.
