Mommyknows on Tour

Published by on

I’m home from Alaska (a few weeks now). It’s been super busy. School’s finally out … and the Mommyknows mobile is on tour. We’re currently enjoying the Canadian Rockies –> kayaks, rock climbing, canoes, hiking and Guitar Hero on Tour!

This is my 15 year old nephew getting his turn on the Guitar Hero for Nintendo DS.

We have several Nintendo DS’s in our house, so the folks at Nintendo were kind enough to send us TWO Guitar Hero for Nintendo DS. They are wireless, so Sam and Lizzy were able to jam together ALL the way to the mountains. Thank you GOD for headphones. They are very cool little hand-held guitar attachments that you attach to your DS.

Have car trips changed or what? Gone are the days of family sing alongs and fighting over sleeping in the rear window. Now were strapped down for safety and playing wireless guitars games. VERY COOL.

I will be back next week with DAILY posts, I’ll fill you in on my trip to AK. Sam, Georgia and Hayley’s June birthdays. Summer in Mommyknowsville … it’s glorious!

Nintendo Ds’s is one of the coolest gadget to have, I have bought one of this for my 12 year old nephew and he can’t thank me enough to have it. Looking forward to hear more of your adventure once you get back…have a safe journey.

My little god brother has this Nintendo DS,
and sometimes I get mad at him cos there are times that he forgets to eat his lunch because of this gadget.

Anyone have pre-baby jitters? i almost passed out @ hospital tour @ sight of labor room!?
hi, i am 35 weeks pregnant with my first baby. just wondering if anyone else has this really nervous thing going about this time- we went on the hospital tour last night and i think that was when it really sank in that a human being was going to be coming out of me- like, next month! i got woozy looking at the labor/delivery room! my hubby says he’s mostly excited- and so am i, but i have this overwhelming “what have we gotten ourselves into?” feeling sometimes! i guess i’m just not sure what i am going to do once she’s here- am i gonna be a good mommy to her?? you know, that type of stuff. any advice for a first-timer?

I think the Nintendo DS was made for car journeys! It keeps my 8 year old quiet for ages once we’ve stopped the sun from shining on the screen. He spends half the time with a towel over his head and looks rather daft!
Canoeing and hiking sounds fun. School’s out here too but we’re not that brave!
Cheers, Chloe

playing guitar hero on the DS has to be about as boring as it gets. Get the kid a PS3 or something

Moms really knows best. No matter what the siblings will do, it’s still the voice of the mothers that will “lead the trip”. You have a wonderful family indeed.
