May Madness – Day 23 – FREE Bical Grippers

Winner is: #7 Carey

This is Samuel … not Samantha!

Mr. MK and I are having a difference of opinion. Tonight in an effort to help my son “see”, I cut his bangs. Mr. MK wants to grow Sam’s hair (he likes the trendy new long shaggy hair – he’s going bald!) It’s fine with me, but it was past cute and looking seriously “orphan” like! A little trim was definitely in order, now he says, “he looks like a girl, it’s the same style as Georgia’s”! I don’t think so, he looks like a boy to me. How can an inch off your bangs make you look like a girl? Men, honestly … this isn’t Poland and he isn’t carrying a purse!

Sam hair cut

What do you think? (Be nice … he’s just six and he can read!)

Tonight I am giving away Bical Grippers Skully Boy shoes. This winner can choose from our available sizes (3-8).

Bical Grippers - Skully Boy

If you don’t like the Skully Boy, you may choose to have a Red Argyll (long) instead, choose from sizes 4-11. These long styles are so cute with a skirt. Georgia wears the Red Argyll (brand new not even on our site yet) with a denim skirt and red tee, and it’s too cute!

Bical Grippers - Red Argyle Long

We have a HUGE shipment of Bical Grippers just in and another on the way later this week. We love baby shoes and our customers do too! We can’t keep the Bical Grippers in stock. Our North American supplier is now sold out of several styles (we took them all) so what’s in our warehouse is all that’s left until September. If you have a favorite … now is the time! Here is a sample of what’s new later this week (I just need time to get them on the site).

Would you like to win these cool shoes? Then you know what to do –> comment AND tell me which Bical Gripper is your favorite (see them all here: Baby Shoes).

oh and by the way Samuel is a cutie pie. i love the curls, and long hair or not, he’s still a cutie!!!!!!!

my son rocked a fro for 2 years. he has LONG eyelashes so, strangers would say, SHE IS SOOOO CUTE! uurgh!

my husband and i fought about the long hair until i decided to let him ‘win’, he’s a Marine, so the afro and braids gave him stomachaches I guess. HaHa….

Husband are so cool!!!! Compromises are cooler! Great job momma! :)

Marcy · May 30, 2007 at 12:16 am

oh soooooo cute. love them, I like the stripe royal soles.

Richard · May 30, 2007 at 2:16 am

Kim, you’re absolutely awesome!! The pink flower sandals are nice too :)

leslie · May 30, 2007 at 5:02 am

samuel looks great….are his favourites the skully boys too?

Kait · May 30, 2007 at 5:27 am

My son is absolutely obsessed with pirates, so we really like the ones with the skulls and crossbones!

glittersmama · May 30, 2007 at 5:56 am

I like the green striped long ones.

Carey · May 30, 2007 at 6:42 am

I like the Bical – Boys Navy/Orange Sport show, and the ones with the frog on it. They are all cute.

Naomi · May 30, 2007 at 6:57 am

The skully girl or the Minnie with polka dots would be my favorites. I love the concept of these!

I like Samuel’s hair. It makes him look like all the boys I grew up with (and had crushes on! I always liked the blondes- growing up in Hawaii, they were a rare commodity.) and actually older than he is. I think husbands just have a problem with bangs. I wanted to give Roo some bangs, also because of the orphan look she is cultivating, but her dad freaked out. I don’t know what the deal is!

Magi · May 30, 2007 at 7:53 am

He looks all boy to me.

I think the cute as a button are adorable. DH would be all over the baseball ones. He’s a huge baseball fan.

Angella · May 30, 2007 at 8:02 am

OK. You’re giving me WAY TOO MANY OPTIONS. I love them all – but the girl ones you’re giving away are too, too cute. When this crazy course is over, I’m going to be doing some damage on your site :)

Tell your son that he looks ALL BOY. Seriously.

Julie · May 30, 2007 at 8:10 am

I think the green stripey bicals are my fav! My daughter has a pair of bical sandals but I’ve never actually seen the grippers before.

Mary-Jo · May 30, 2007 at 8:19 am

I would take the pink pom pom hearts in a heartbeat mind you, the red argyle are pretty cute too!

Mama K · May 30, 2007 at 8:32 am

Oh I *heart* those skully shoes! We have skull huggalegs, a jolly roger Happy Heiney and a skully shirt I painted. No shoes yet though!

PS You son looks like a boy to me. Maybe it’s the Spidey PJs? : )

Elisha · May 30, 2007 at 9:37 am

Your little boys hair is very cute. My aunt just cut her little boys hair and it was long and made him look like a little surfer boy. It was adorable, but we have quite the cowboy family and at times people made some funny comments. But know that it is gone she is regretting doing it. So the bangs were good to cut to keep out of the eyes, just try to cut them more jagged and to the sides next time. It will allow his bangs to fall to the side and stay out of his face, without giving a slightly girly look.
But i a jealous of those curls.

Oh and about the little booties, i found ur site looking for them on babymarketplace.com so ilove the already. I love the red argyle ones, so stinkin cute. I would love to get a pair since they are not in the stores yet

Desi · May 30, 2007 at 10:06 am

I like the floral sport ones and all the sandals, too! They’re all very cute – I would have a hard time choosing one…

No advice on the hair – I think it looks just fine – no mistaking him for a girl, either! He is lucky to have such gorgeous hair.

kalurah · May 30, 2007 at 10:47 am

that red argyll is absolutely TO DIE FOR!!!
I swear, I wanna pair for myself, as well!
I would love to win a pair in size 11 for my 5 year old fashionista.
thanks!!!
p.s. my 2 year old is sport’n the same type hairdo and he’s also blonde. I prefer it longer, actually. ;-)

Deb · May 30, 2007 at 11:00 am

Hmmm, tough one. My favourite by far are these: http://www.thebabymarketplace.com/securestore/c240256p16832270.2.html but they aren’t the grippers. Of the grippers I like http://www.thebabymarketplace.com/securestore/c240256p16769581.2.html

Anu · May 30, 2007 at 11:19 am

Ohh i love these!! I loved the Red Argyll!! My 3 year old will live a pair.
Her size: 10

Cherylyn · May 30, 2007 at 11:37 am

Your kids are terribly cute, Sam looks very boyish and very styling, although I am very partial to buzz cuts myself. Way less work for mommy. They get up, and their hair is done. (I only have boys, I’m not that mean of a mommy.) I absolutly love the cute as a button gripper but since I only have boys and am not really a terribly mean mommy I do like the baseball ones for boys. Still think the “cute as a button” rocks however.

Susy-Q · May 30, 2007 at 12:10 pm

I think my favourite bicals are the green froggy ones. I have a thing for frogs…kiss one and a prince appears right?

Susy-Q · May 30, 2007 at 12:11 pm

By the way, your son looks very much like a boy…a handsome one at that!

Deborah · May 30, 2007 at 12:37 pm

I don’t know which ones are my favorite. What decisions. So luscious and yummy.

Daisymom · May 30, 2007 at 1:03 pm

I LOVE the cute as a button shoes!!!

Mrs. Pear · May 30, 2007 at 1:52 pm

The girls gripper shoes are so cute it seems very cruel to make me only choose one! I cannot pick, they are too cute!

Elise Vajsabel · May 30, 2007 at 2:13 pm

Their are so many cute pairs to chose from… I’m sure I could find a pair that my girls would love.

Aimee · May 30, 2007 at 2:34 pm

Don’t worry, he still looks like a boy, usually the body language is a little different anyway and gives them away. I love the shaggy boy look. My Irish husband has beautiful, thick black hair that he shaves off every summer when he gets hot. I’m so hoping to have a child with that hair so it can grow freely!

Even though my Juniper is a girl, she’ll look great in the skully boy shoes, they’re so cute!

Hoping to see this continue into June!

Nikki · May 30, 2007 at 2:36 pm

I’m loving the red argylls. I think Samuel’s hair look good. I’m not into the shaggy look though so maybe that’s why I like it!

Jen the Mom · May 30, 2007 at 2:46 pm

The long-hair-look seems to be everywhere up here but I’ve also wondered how these boys can see. On the other hand, I had many a crush on cute boys with gorgeous long hair.

I think those long red boots are adorable.

Deanne S. · May 30, 2007 at 3:13 pm

I really like the skully ones for boys and the pink caterpillar for girls!

Your sons hair is sooo cute! I mean handsome!!

Mireille · May 30, 2007 at 3:17 pm

I like the flower pink sole and those new red argyll looks pretty good too!

This is the one I really want to win!!!

MonaB · May 30, 2007 at 3:50 pm

Love the water shoes. I actually ordered a pair for my daughter in the pink skully! She will be the coolest kid around! Can’t wait until she is able to walk, she is only 3 months and I am already shopping up a storm! You know what they say…….they grow up so fast and this helps fuels Mommy’s obsession with shopping!

Clara's Cool Daddy · May 30, 2007 at 4:05 pm

Hello!
I believe my little Clara would go for the red argyll ones.

;)

Marlo · May 30, 2007 at 4:37 pm

I love the long green striped ones. I just moved back to the States from Paris, France and these grippers remind me of French children’s fashion. I hope we win a pair.

Lisa · May 30, 2007 at 6:35 pm

Sneakers Blue are so cute. These are great. I had never seen them before. Thanks for sharing cool stuff everyday.

Yan · May 30, 2007 at 7:50 pm

I LOVE these shoes, the Pink PomPom is my favorite :)

alison · May 30, 2007 at 8:35 pm

I definitely wouldn’t say Samuel looks like a girl. On the other hand, in the words of my long-and-shaggy-haired brother, “you can’t trim guys hair, you just have to cut it.” So, he’ll grow it out until he gets annoyed, then chop it off and grow it again. Trimming seems to “mess with the hair.” So, there’s my two cents.

Nicole · May 30, 2007 at 8:51 pm

The blue sneakers are very very cute, but OH MY GOD I lovelovelovelove the Skully Boys!

Samuel’s hair looks cute, and not girly. My 2yo is shaggy right now (also needs a bit of a trim in the frontal area), and the 5yo is currently growing his out too–because he likes the 2yo’s so much. To think, it all started because the kid wouldn’t sit still for a trim…

Too bad the baby’s sporting a mullet.

Joi · May 30, 2007 at 9:14 pm

OH my!! The red argyll are TOO cute. I have a sister that loves skull and crossbones stuff with hot pink and I know there are bicals that are pink with black and white stripes and the skull has a pink bow on her.. Harlie would be so cute sportin’ her Aunt Maggie’s look.. The Red Argyll would pull that off as well!! Kids these days?? :)

YEAH BICAL Grippers again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

jst · May 30, 2007 at 9:48 pm

We would love the red argyle for our daughter. Our son already has the blue car one!

Amy :) · May 30, 2007 at 10:19 pm

I love the skully ones and also the flames!
