Great Laundry Challenge

Published by on

Buried ...
Help! I am buried and I can’t get out!

This is just a the tip of the iceberg where laundry is concerned. I don’t have the guts to show you the actual laundry room (this is just the pile at the end of the hallway). You’d certainly pity me if you saw the laundry room and probably think less of me too! *Sigh* I am considering taking it all to the local laudromat where they’ll wash and fold it all for a hefty price. It’s probably worth it!

Here is the Challenge:

What does your laundry room look like? If you show me yours, I might just show you mine. Blog about it, or send me a photo by email (kim @ mommyknows dot com), or even better sign up for with flickr (it’s easy) and upload your photo there, then come back and leave the link in the comments below.

My favorite photo will win a $15 Starbucks gift card.

The ‘Great Laundry Challenge’ ends Saturday @ 9 p.m. mountain time.

My laundry room is shared with my tenant so it is quite clean. However, my living room couch and bedroom floor are another matter entirely ;)

hahaha…we have a nice sized, sunny laundry room…but WHERE does that laundry end up?? on our beds of course. With James co-sleeping as a kiddo (he used his crib TWICE!) it really was more of a functional (or disfunctional) laundry folding arena!! I’ll send you a picture of our laundry…… i don’t know how moms do without a washer and dryer at home. i do a load every day to stay caught up!

Our “laundry room” is in the garage. It’s so annoying… the next house is sure to have an actual room.

I took a picture of my laundry room but it really doesn’t do it justice. I took it after doing 6 loads of laundry because before I couldn’t even get to the door!

I have solved the laundry problem! I have a laundry bin that was made from a small linen closet in the hall so I have three choices. Either I trip over the piles of laundry in the hall since I have no laundry room or I do the laundry or I stuff it all back in the laundry bin. Because the little closet (my laundry bin) is in the hall the laundry piles always end up in the hall too and I cant stand walking on the piles, I either do the laundry or I stuff it back in the laundry bin. There… problem solved. Out of site, out of mind.

Hehe, my GF takes care of the laundry at our home now. But i do remember when i lived by myself. It was a real mess. Boxers here, t-shirts there and socks everywhere. The laundry room looked bad, but the fact is that my room looked worse. I just threw my dirty clothes all over the floor and didn’t bother to pick them up. It happened quite often that i found stuff i had been looking for for several month on that floor. :)
I have to admit that I prefer the structure we have now. :)
