Daddy’s Girl

A bump on the head necessitates a hug from daddy.

Daddy's Girl

We took Georgia out for lunch today. The service was slow. Once all the ice cream and chocolate milk were gone, the novelty of the crayons wore off and we couldn’t bribe her with a ‘sizz’ of our pops, she turned to jumping around and jumped her head into the windowsill. Mr. MK was there to comfort her. She seems to prefer him to me. Hmm … strange but true.

What about your kids, mom or dad?

Oh, poor Georgia!!

I find with my boys, Ethan usually wants me if he’s hurt/sad. It varies with Tyler – sometimes me, sometimes Daddy.

currently my son favors me. he has a touch of some kind of bug and isnt feeling so hot. he tends to be a mama’s boy when he’s ill. when he feels up to snuff, its all about dad. granted i get him when he’s cute and cuddlie, but there is also a high probability he either just puked or is about to so i dont think i’m the clear winner here…

Daddy all the way. Whether she’s hurt, sick, sad, or wants someone to cuddle with, it has to be Daddy. I think maybe because she doesn’t see her daddy too much. Or maybe it’s pay back for the first year when she didn’t want anything to do with him. :)

It’s me for now, but I wonder how long it will stay that way.

My son is definitely a mommy’s boy…I am ALWAYS the prefered one when it comes to stuff like comfort from owies…but I hear that boys are mommy’s and girls are daddy’s!! So since we’re supposed to have a girl next, maybe Daddy will get his turn! :)

Roo’s daddy’s girl and Jasper is a mommy’s boy. Although both of them prefer me for consoling.

Marley is Mama’s girl and Gavin goes both ways. Depends who’s been “meaner” that day!

It’s mommy whenever my girls are hurt or sad. But they would both rather cuddle and play with daddy. Daddy is the fun guy and Mommy is the nurturer. That’s how my girls see it anyway.

They like daddy when they are hurt or want a cuddle. They run to mommy when they are naughty and don’t want daddy to punish them.

Both girls favor me, but they seem to think lately that we’re not a united front. If one or other says no or scolds them they run to the other parent. Frustrating! But they are primarily my babies and run to me when they need a cuddle.

Ouch, that smarts when you smack your noggin.

My 3 year old niece has different people she goes to for different things. When she’s hurt, she comes to me first for comfort and then sees everyone else to make sure they know she is hurt. She goes to her grandpa for a game of hide n’ seek and other fun games. It just depends on what she is wanting.
