I arrived at my desk this evening to find a very absorbent Sammy’s Sherpa diaper covered in coffee! Next to the mess was this note:
Translation: “To mom, I am sorry I accidentally spilled the coffee cup. Time 7:57 p.m. From Lizzy”
Mommy knows it’s these little things that keep you smilin”
And Lizzy … we need to work on your spelling darling!

Love those notes with “inventive spelling”! I used to be a Kindergarten teacher before a SAHM and LOVED, LOVED, LOVED reading their journals with those adorable words!

Hi Amanda,
I have a few notes stashed away … they grow up so fast.
Lizzy is actually 7 … and generally can spell a bit better than this … HONEST. Actually, come to think of it there is a bit of a gap between the spelling tests (9/10 and 10/10) and then spelling the same words correctly in her writing (do they call this translation?).
The note did make up for the mess … I especially loved the time!

An idea suddenly come to me when I have seen the explaination.I feel like to laugh.Maybe a baby of 7 year old in an English speaking Country speaks better than write.Maybe it is the same my country in China.But after seeing this story in our real life,I can’t help myself to laugh in my mind.I remember the time I was also 7,I forced to write the words more and more.It seemed to be no interesting,but helped us lot.Becaus I have remembered many words since then.
I aslo happened to block sth like tea cup,spoon and others,and blamed by my mother.Yes,always my mother blamed me.So see this story happened on Lizzy,it take me to my childhood.
