Kid’s home ~ it’s like they never left. Now wishing I would have done a little less work and had a little more fun while they were gone! Sheesh, will I never learn?

In answer to all those emails: Yes, I am in the family picture, very back row 2nd from the left in between orange shirt (John) and burgandy shirt (Greg). I am NOT hiding … I am so over that photo phobia thing! In fact, I am so over it that I took my picture with a towel on my head and no make up and posted it on flickr. I am not so over it that I want to post it here, but if you have the time you can go on over and have a laugh look.

I put a shitload many, many new prizes up for the contest too! Looks like I may have to keep on givin’ right into September … hmmm …

10 more cases of Bical to arrive Monday, BLU too.

Here is a peak at the BLU!

Jacket Details

Oh yeah, just one more thing … I added a ‘link to us’ page –> CLICK ME. Unlike other sites I don’t require you to blog about me to be entered in my contests, BUT if you want to … please do! Because it would be nice and … well you know! Go on … I dare yah.

To be the next winner (or maybe even win again), you need only leave a comment.

EVERY day in August I’m giving away free prizes (maybe more, but at least one). Just like in the past the winners will be randomly drawn and posted here on the site.

The winners will be able to choose one of any of the prizes listed on the flickr set: Anything Goes in August. Once an item is chosen, it will be removed from flickr and will no longer be available (unless I have two … which I do for some).

All you have to do to win each day’s prize is leave a comment on the most current post.

All prizes are provided by: www.thebabymarketplace.com in conjuction with www.mommyknows.com

Isn’t that always the way – you get time without the kids and it goes too quickly and then you feel like you never had a break!!

Joa · August 25, 2007 at 5:41 am

I received my price (the pink slippers). They are CUTE! They will be cuter on my little one :)

Divrchk · August 25, 2007 at 6:50 am

You look great! I could deal with winning one of these times :-)

serina · August 25, 2007 at 6:57 am

Love that jacket!

Laura · August 25, 2007 at 7:09 am

Ok, I have to go back to the whole photo-phobia thing. Congrats on beating it!! Is there a 12-step program or something I should know about. I’m having heart palpitations going to frame a family portrait that our nice photographer friend took for us because I know once it is framed I will have to DISPLAY for all to look at.

The horror.

Laura · August 25, 2007 at 7:11 am

Oh!
And you have nothing to worry about.
You look like a Noxzema commercial.

Marla · August 25, 2007 at 7:34 am

I love the BLU in that photo ~ sure makes me wish I had *little* girls….my youngest daughter is 19 now…sigh…

maddiesmom · August 25, 2007 at 7:41 am

Beautiful detail on the jacket!

glittersmama · August 25, 2007 at 7:58 am

Alright. I’ve got my first link on my site!

Andrea · August 25, 2007 at 8:25 am

Deb · August 25, 2007 at 8:42 am

I’ve gotcha linked already. I’m on my way now to check out the stuff on flickr…

Susy-Q · August 25, 2007 at 8:56 am

You are a beautiful woman…make up on or no! I see where your children get their beautiful blues!

lace · August 25, 2007 at 9:00 am

I got my package the other day. The deux par deux skirt is gorgeous. I see some more great things on flickr.

Just added your buttons and a post. I can’t believe I had never linked to you before.

lace · August 25, 2007 at 9:04 am

I just went and looked because I thought I had posted about your blog before. I did. You were post #4 and 5. Way back at the beginning of my blog when I still didn’t know what I was doing or what I wanted my blog to be. Although I still don’t know if I have figured out that last one. Heck, I’m still not sure about the first one.

Montserrat · August 25, 2007 at 9:24 am

Now we know where the gorgeous eyes come from! I’ll work on adding a button to my sidebar although I already have a link to the blog and the store.

Alexia · August 25, 2007 at 9:30 am

Whoo hoo for towel photos ;) You’re way braver than me – I still refuse to take a pic unless I have at least SOME makeup on!

I’m gonna add a link on my blog right now!

Paige · August 25, 2007 at 9:31 am

I hope you got lots done, even if you didn’t have so much fun. I’m enjoying the time while my kids are at school. Still not getting a lot done (watched a movie in the middle of the day yesterday), but more than when all the troops are here.

jw4mkc · August 25, 2007 at 10:10 am

I would pay BIG for an amazing complexion like yours!! Check out my blog for your shout out!! (oh, and baby H with her red argyle grippers that EVERYONE loves!!)

Teresa · August 25, 2007 at 10:18 am

The new products look super cute, can’t wait to check them out.

Safire · August 25, 2007 at 10:27 am

The new products look great!

Jaime Stephens · August 25, 2007 at 10:31 am

You look awesome! You do not look old enough to have a daughter off in Brazil :O)

I would love for the contest to continue through to September. I am positive that I will win one of these days! Until then (and probably past) I will be here laughing at your antics and enjoying the pictures of your family and your adventures.

Have a great day!

Bree · August 25, 2007 at 10:38 am

Have a great fan-tab-u-lous! weekend!! :)

Deb on the Rocks · August 25, 2007 at 10:50 am

Beautiful!

corey · August 25, 2007 at 11:58 am

glad you are over the photo phobia thing. :)

Diane · August 25, 2007 at 12:16 pm

It is a very hard thing to figure which things are most inportant to get done when you have some moments of childfree time! At least you got some work done though! Hopefully with school starting up soon you will have some time on your hands for yourself?! Dare I say it?

Karyne · August 25, 2007 at 1:04 pm

I laugh about Hayley’s story. I don’t like dogs so much… this one seems scary!

Lisa · August 25, 2007 at 1:19 pm

Great new prizes and a great picture. Way to go getting over your photo phobia:)

PamW · August 25, 2007 at 1:33 pm

Cute jacket. I’d love to win one like that….

Beth · August 25, 2007 at 2:04 pm

Great new prizes! Thanks!

Naomi · August 25, 2007 at 2:24 pm

Your skin is unbelievably gorgeous… wow.

Leanne · August 25, 2007 at 4:19 pm

Does your Mom want any more grandchildren? If she takes them for lots of over night visits I can lend her mine too!

Cherylyn · August 25, 2007 at 4:34 pm

Wow, you look great! Don’t you have an 18 year old? Nah, you’re making her up! You look too young for that!

Priya · August 25, 2007 at 6:27 pm

Yan · August 25, 2007 at 6:59 pm

You look great !! I love the rest of the family pictures, they are so precious, I like how all of you have name tags :)

Karen · August 25, 2007 at 7:30 pm

What a big family! What a blessing you could all get together!!! That is so special!!!

Kilikina · August 25, 2007 at 8:32 pm

Mine arent in school yet so when theyre both asleep do i clean or sleep? one is 6 wks old

Yvonne · August 25, 2007 at 8:57 pm

Family reunions are so great except, afterwards, I always miss my family so much more for months. Fun but saddening. I guess that’s better than being thrilled to get away from them all again!

Laura @ Laura Williams' Musings · August 25, 2007 at 9:17 pm

I hate having my picture taken. I’m usually the one behind the camera.

Doreen · August 25, 2007 at 10:22 pm

You look great!! I don’t like my pic being taken….LOL

Melissa Markham · August 26, 2007 at 5:32 am

Why is it that when our children are gone, we feel like it is the time to get things done instead of feeling like it is the time to sit back and read a good book or watch a movie uninterrupted? Make yourself a note so that the next time they are away you will remember:)

Kait · August 26, 2007 at 6:37 am

My son loves his Bicals with the skulls on them. He wants to wear them everyday!

Deb · August 26, 2007 at 4:28 pm

Isn’t that the way it always is. I also work like crazy when my kids aren’t around – and then wonder why I’m so exhausted when they return!

Michelle · August 26, 2007 at 4:44 pm

Blu has the most gorgeous fabric! Love their designs as well.

Karen · August 26, 2007 at 7:17 pm

How brave to pose in a towel! / How nice to have a little break from the kiddies… it’s a blessing to recharge/miss them… I bet you love them all the more when they return home! ~K~

lace · August 26, 2007 at 7:39 pm

I sometimes get the mail with a towel on my head and wearing pjs. But I don’t think I would let a picture be taken. You are very brave.

PamW · August 26, 2007 at 9:29 pm

It’s nice to be away from the kids for a bit, isn’t it? It can make one really miss them (atleast for a moment or two!)

Kathryn · August 26, 2007 at 9:55 pm

I do that too..try and accomplish a ton of stuff while they’re gone and then wish I’d eased up a bit.. I’m always begging my husband for time in the house WITHOUT the kids (he gets it often, why dont’ I?? oh yeah, the kids are always with ME!).. My birthday is coming up and I’ve asked for kid free hours!

Deanne S. · August 26, 2007 at 11:05 pm

Can’t wait to see the new Blu clothing!!

Marcy · August 26, 2007 at 11:43 pm

Wooo HOOOOOOOO

Jo · August 27, 2007 at 12:07 am

Am I only fashionably late? :) Please enter me this sounds like alot of fun!!

Charlotte · August 27, 2007 at 8:59 am

So excited for the new clothing!

carol · August 27, 2007 at 11:57 am

I love to see the new fall clothes when they come out in the stores and online.

Safire · August 27, 2007 at 12:28 pm

I love to see the fall clothes out too! Can’t wait to start shopping for my daughter.

Karen · August 27, 2007 at 1:14 pm

I am looking forward to fall, too… my baby, Jackson, has been wearing only onesies since May… it has been too HOT for him to wear anything else… (That’s Southern, VA for ya!) / It will be nice to see him in the sweaters his Grandma knitted for him :) / …Hope you post some winners soon! :-D

Jaime Stephens · August 27, 2007 at 1:39 pm

I also love shopping for new clothing for the kids… its starting to get so chilly around here at night and in the morning. Fall is definitely on its way.

Qtpies7 · August 27, 2007 at 1:51 pm

I only dare dream of having all the kids gone for a couple of days…… But only for a couple, because I think I shall faint when I have no kids at home anymore. I’m hoping my older kids give me grandkids to babysit by the time my little ones move out.

jw4mkc · August 27, 2007 at 1:55 pm

I know I already commented for the contest..so this one doesn’t count..but wow – Mandeville and Lakeside? Is that where you are from (I know ending with a preposition..oh well – know a great blonde joke about that – hehe)? I miss it there – loved the people and the ways of life there.. but am sure glad we are not still there.. Very sad!

alison · August 27, 2007 at 3:51 pm

One might ask what exactly the difference between posting said towel photo here and posting the link here would be, but I am not one . . . I understand the logic.
