A Little Bit of This and That, and a Winner

5/365 - Patience is a virtue
Photography 5/365

I most likely won’t make you look at all 365 of these Photography 365 images. It’s just that while I am wallowing in the house, really getting a feel for my new recluse status, I haven’t got much else.

Sam’s not big on the photography thing, just about the time this image was taken he tried to slip away from me into the brain-numbing clutches of his DS. I put an end to that in a hurry! He whined, “awwwww … is this going to be like that time in the summer when you took pictures of me ALL day?”

He’s a good boy, quite often funny, although not on purpose. Just the other day Lizzy was admiring some new earrings …

Lizzy: What does genuine crystal mean?
Me: It means they are real crystal, not fake or pretend.
Sam: WHOA, COOL! You can mail them in for CASH you know Liz!

He’s obviously been watching these cash for gold commercials –> http://cashforgoldusa.com/?cid=11&gclid=CNio7OGStZgCFRQhnAodSj7UUQ (I shouldn’t really give them a link, but since there is a recession, maybe one of you TV’less sorts with loads of spare bling and no moola in the grocery fund may find this handy).

Georgia also gets sucked in by the ads. I recently scolded her for wild splashing in the tub. It was outrageous, some splash’age is expected, but she’d some how managed to get an inch of water on the floor. Then she suggested I buy a ShamWow!

Any funny stories for us?

We had a morning of water splashing on the floor here too. Maybe I need a ShamWow! That is one beautiful, blue-eyed boy you have there!

We currently have a ShamWow! in the freezer. My grandfather gave us some for Christmas and my niece has decided to wrap up her baby snowball to stay warm while in the freezer. I’m not sure if the snowball baby is actually still in the ShamWow! but the ShamWow is still in there.

We had some major splashing the other day as well. A precariously balanced sand pail filled with bathwater fell out of the bathtub and soaked the floor. I heard sizzling (a small electric space heater was on keeping the water logged mermaid warm) and jumped onto the step stool thinking I had been almost fried.

AWWWWWWWW, you’re going to make me buy that book on my own, aren’t you? *pout*

When my oldest was wee, crawling wee, whenever the Pizza Nova commercial came on, she would crawl into veiw of the tv as fast as she could… stop dead still to watch… then carry on with her day. ha! I still kind of miss that commercial.

Your children make me laugh! My 17 year old son is very unique and has a quirky sense of humor. Sorry, I can’t think of any funny stories right now.

I guess most children act like that. I personally try to take pictures of my daughter while she isn’t looking or at least is not realizing I am about to take a photo. My wife, on the other hand, will go into all the trouble of dressing and undressing her for several hours just to take pictures of her… in the end my daughter is so angry! Cute =)

we were looking at the new Leaps and Bounds catalog. My lil’ one loves “Hannah ‘Tana” (hannah montana…we have a 7 year old neighbor…that is the only place i can think of where he learned about THAT hookerish 17 yearold..anyways) He said he needed the Hannah ‘Tana makeup kit.
me: “well, most boys don’t wear makeup”
lil’ man: “well, some boys do.”

poor daddy.

Tooo funny re: the genuine crystal. Had to track you down and say Sunshine is my favorite place to ski! I have many fond memories of skipping out on the gondola and skiing to the car when I was little.

Funny kid sayings: my 4-yr-old daughter’s friend was at our house on Friday and we were playing the Wii Fit. “Does your body test say you’re fat,” she asked. Me: “Alex, why would you say that?” Her: “Because my Wii Fit calls my mom and dad fat all the time.”

I’m sure her mom would be THRILLED to hear she said that.
