Rrrr, this is the 3rd time I have started this post! I am hitting save every sentence now. I am bitchy miserable. I am still sick (?), I am coughing up blood. I don’t really feel all that bad, just tired. Hey, did I tell you I am hiking 60km (36miles) in the Rockies this weekend? Make sure to read the papers on Sunday, I’ll be the one on the front page ravaged by a grizzly that was attracted to my tent because of all the bloody tissues strewn about!

I know, I know, I should go to a doctor, but it’s the final week of birthday season. Hayley is 18 on Wednesday, graduates on Thursday. I have presents to get, dinners to plan (and attend), guests to entertain, hair to have done, backpacking trip to get organized for … ah crap – you get the idea right? I don’t have anything to wear to the graduation, I don’t have time to shop and I am too depressed to take this heap of a body into a dressing room! Do you think she’ll notice if I’m not there? (Note: MommyKnows she is a BAD, BAD mother!)

Let’s just call this Misery Monday, I never wanted to be one of those complaining kind of blogs. I want to be one of those happy, lovely product blogs, but lets face it — this blogger wants to whine and whinge, but I have decided I will keep it to Misery Mondays! No more complaining and swearing all week long (even the crossed out kind). But watch out on Mondays … cause, I am a big WHINER (and boy can I swear a blue streak)!

So I have a little test for you all – let’s just say (hypothetically), I ask you to package and ship a NAVY Sloppy, which of these would you send? (It’s not a trick …)

Sloppy Comforter Doll
Hmmm … are you smarter than a 5th 1st grader?

***
Today I am giving away one of these cute Sloppy Dolls.

PEPPA Sloppy® dolls are made totally of natural fibres: the bodies and dresses are made of cotton toweling or brushed cotton and some have silk as the lining or clothes. The doll’s head is stuffed with sheep’s wool, which absorbs scents quickly. If a mother holds the doll for a night and then passes it to the newborn, the baby will be able to quickly associate it with the comfort and nearness of its mother. As a result, a PEPPA Sloppy® rag doll quickly becomes an indispensable and inseparable favorite!

To be eligible to win you just need to leave a comment AND tell me which of these dolls you’d pack and ship if I told you to send NAVY – 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7?

I will randomly pick a winner @ about 9 pm on June 25th!

***
Note: The Peppa Sloppy has been added to the June Jive / May Madness coupon promo so if you don’t win’em you can buy’em … cheap like!

I’m giving away a FREE product every day until the end of June. Read more here: Contest Details

Kim, firstly, you should see a doctor. Coughing up blood? Hello??

Secondly, where do you find these scary toys! Are these what babies are into these days? My God!

leslie · June 25, 2007 at 4:28 am

..how about number 2….he’s wearing his “dress whites” uniform……

Marla · June 25, 2007 at 5:24 am

I agree with comment #1 ~ you should definitely see a doctor! And no, you are not a bad mommy, just a tired and sick one.

I would send doll #1 ~ looks the most like water to me!

Susanne · June 25, 2007 at 6:45 am

First of all, I’m with Richard…you should go to a doctor! Take care of yourself!

I say #4. These dolls are great!

Kait · June 25, 2007 at 7:26 am

I would say, doll #4. Wow- 36 miles in the Rockies?!

Mama K · June 25, 2007 at 8:12 am

Another vote for #4! I bet babies love chewing on those knots.

Nenni · June 25, 2007 at 8:21 am

They look great! I want one :)

Navy is number 4 no?

Julie · June 25, 2007 at 8:36 am

My vote for Navy is number 4, of course! And I agree, with a previous poster, the knots on those dolls would be great for baby to suck or chew on! Hope you’re feeling better soon!

glittersmama · June 25, 2007 at 9:26 am

Number four! Maybe when birthday season is over, you can take a mom vacation? I know, yeah right.

Lacey · June 25, 2007 at 9:26 am

I would say the navy would have to be #4. I love the look of these dolls. Knots to chew on and soft and cuddly.

Go to the Doctor!

Alexia · June 25, 2007 at 9:29 am

These dolls look like they have ears LOL However I bet babies love ’em!
My vote is for #4!!!

Deanne S. · June 25, 2007 at 9:31 am

I too say #4.

You know, you may miss all your activities this week if you end up in hospital!!

Apples on a Stick · June 25, 2007 at 9:32 am

#7, I have a thing for gren!

Apples on a Stick · June 25, 2007 at 9:32 am

GREEN (sheesh!)

susan · June 25, 2007 at 9:39 am

wow yes please see a doctor! coughing blood is not a good thing mama
and I’d have to go w/ #4 for the cute little dolls, I love that they would hold the mamas scent

Naomi · June 25, 2007 at 9:39 am

The best birthday present is a healthy mom… don’t forget to take care of yourself while looking after everyone else!

I think #4 is Navy.

Magi · June 25, 2007 at 9:43 am

First, go to the doctor. Remember to put your oxygen mask on first. You can’t take care of your family, if you’re flat on your back in the hospital.

Second, thank you for the gift certificate. I can’t wait to spend it!

Third, #4 is the closest to the color navy, so I say 4.

Priya · June 25, 2007 at 9:50 am

If you take care of ur health today , u can a lot more tommorow, so pls visit ur doc.
My answer- Number 1

Richard · June 25, 2007 at 10:07 am

Shucks.. forgot to vote. #5.

Lesha Anderson · June 25, 2007 at 10:48 am

Cute!

MommyKnows · June 25, 2007 at 10:54 am

**It’s really not that BAD!** I even went on my walk this a.m. not the 6 km version but a shorter 3 km walk and I feel OK, but tired. It is a really a sinus thing that is draining into my lungs. I think I just need to ride it out.

Remind me never to talk about blood in my posts again!

Richard – are you color blind? Do you really think that #5 looks like navy blue?

Diane · June 25, 2007 at 11:02 am

I’d send number 4… I love these dolls I wanted to get one to help my son sleep in his own crib!! but I love the green color best.

Keara · June 25, 2007 at 12:18 pm

WOW! Take care of yourself Mama!

I am going to say #4. This would be perfect for my new baby that can’t get enough of me!

Beth · June 25, 2007 at 12:32 pm

#4-coughing up blood CANNOT be normal.

Heather · June 25, 2007 at 12:41 pm

If it’s navy blue I’d guess #4…. Those dolls are cute!

hmama · June 25, 2007 at 12:42 pm

#4

My daughter has the pink one #3, but actually, I would like the cream (doctor) one. It’s my next favourite.

I did actually sleep with the doll as they stated in the info, and it seemed to hold my smell, which helped out our little babe transition to her big crib.

Kilikina · June 25, 2007 at 12:48 pm

I hope you get to feeling better!

I think I would ship #4 as a Navy Sloppy. (I like that one and #1 the best) I would assume you meant the color navy, and that’s the closest I see….

Pam · June 25, 2007 at 1:06 pm

I would ship #3 because is has the most different colours on it and I would think that it would stimulate a baby a bit more since it has a bigger variety of colours (if 3 colours is considered variety).
And I hope you feel better soon. My house is sick too but I’m being a big wuss too.

Daisymom · June 25, 2007 at 1:20 pm

I say number 4. Oh – and go to a doctor!!! Seriously, coughing up blood is a very bad thing.

nikkapotamus · June 25, 2007 at 1:34 pm

I hope you’re feeling better.
I really love lesli’s answer… “dress whites” *giggle*

Number 4 is probably the “correct” answer, but I’d be a smarty pants and say number 5 and that I’m color blind :)

Mrs. Pear · June 25, 2007 at 1:35 pm

I would think #4, but that seems to be the obvious choice, so I must be wrong…..

Oh, and might I suggest seeing the doctor before you hike the rockies???? Personally I would need a paramedic to accompany me, but that is just me, and hiking in the mountains is not in my list of things I am good at…

Kami · June 25, 2007 at 1:36 pm

Oh my, I hope you are better soon. I am with everyone else, see a doctor.

I vote for #4 – look the most navy to me:-)

Mefeng · June 25, 2007 at 2:00 pm

Taking care of yourself first so you can take care others. Please go to see doctor, even you’re feeling not that bad. I always tell my mom to see doctor but she always said she’s OK (but I know she’s not!). I (personally) rather have mom feeling better, rest in bed than sick one going to my graduation. Really hope you are feeling well.
My answer is #4.

Lisa · June 25, 2007 at 2:01 pm

I’d send #4 though personally I like #3. Yeah, I’m girly.

Hope you get better soon.

Cherylyn · June 25, 2007 at 2:02 pm

#4 seems like it to me, however, that’s not all that navy I woudln’t think. I won’t nag you about the doc, but on Hell weeks (and you are about to have another one) I allow myself to let one major thing slide a day. ie, don’t cook, or make that 18 year old wash her own clothes, or Mr. MK can iron his own shirts, or no one needs to see the state of your bathrooms this week etc. Focus on the important stuff, and then next week, school’s out and that’s a whole new song and dance!

Annie · June 25, 2007 at 2:11 pm

#4 is definitely the closest to navy, although not my fave. I’ll chime in and suggest heading to the doc’s office for a little checkup. Just to be safe.

alison · June 25, 2007 at 3:07 pm

Since you said it’s not a trick, I would say #4. However, my very next thought was the pure white #2 because it reminds me of “Anchors Away” and all those navy dress uniforms.

Yan · June 25, 2007 at 3:25 pm

Oh, I hope you are felling better soon, take care, Kim! And you NEED to go see a doctor.

I say #4 is Navy. I got the red one from you for my baby girl, it’s so cute :)

carol · June 25, 2007 at 3:44 pm

#4 is the closest to navy.

Tracy · June 25, 2007 at 3:56 pm

#4 for is my vote.

Nikki · June 25, 2007 at 5:02 pm

Nice to know someone out there is as stubborn as me…but you really should see a Dr…especially before the big hike.

I’d say #4 for NAVY

Montserrat · June 25, 2007 at 6:02 pm

Coughing up blood is never a good thing. Now I’m going to be really worried about you. GO SEE A DOCTOR!!!

Someone asked for navy? Maybe the colors weren’t working on their monitor. Or maybe my monitor’s not working right. There is NO navy. #1 is blue but #4 is purple.

Lisa · June 25, 2007 at 6:23 pm

I vote for #4. Praying you feel better soon.

Mary C · June 25, 2007 at 7:18 pm

Totally #4.

Amy :) · June 25, 2007 at 7:20 pm

I would also choose #4 as the navy one. I think they look like little bunnies!

Jessica · June 25, 2007 at 7:44 pm

I would say #4, but it looks purple to me.

Michelle · June 25, 2007 at 8:43 pm

definitely would say #4 though it is more periwinkle than navy.

Michelle

Angella · June 25, 2007 at 9:55 pm

I’m not commenting for the contest, I just want you to GO TO THE DOCTOR. And? Feel better :)

Pauline · June 25, 2007 at 9:57 pm

Kim,

My first visit to your blog and I am now really annoyed that I have not been to visit before. I receive your newsletter each week (thanks, it’s fab and I really appreciate the newsletter member deals) but get too distracted shopping in your store to spend the time looking at your blog.

It is really nice to understand more about the person behind the store – a mom just like me – normal! Yes, you should probably go to the doctor but you are a grown up and I am sure that you know your body better than the rest of us.

I would say that number 4 is the one. I do think that navy blue is usually darker but that is the only blue one there.

For those of you who read Kim’s blog but have not signed up for her newsletter for thebabymarketplace – please do so – you will not regret it, its great!
