Saving the English Language One Word at a Time

Posted on 13 March 2009 by MommyKnows

It’s time to confess, I have a fair amount of succisive time. I spend most of that succisive time on the computer. Aimlessly wandering around the blogosphere and www looking for nothing and always finding something.

Today, I happened upon Save The Words and felt compelled to adopt (it’s free). It was hard to choose just one word (there aren’t enough succisive moments in the day to take care of TWO). There they were, so sad, lonely, ignored, unused AND if you can believe it … dropped from the dictionary!

I’m now the proud parent of :

SUCCISIVE –> of spare or extra time.

succisive - of spare or extra time.

succisive - of spare or extra time.

AHHH, isn’t it cute?

It was a tie between succisive and cacatory (accompanied by diarrhea), but then I thought about it and it was evident that I have way more succisive moments than cacatory moments (REALLY), and I quickly snapped up succisive before some other wack-job mom with too much time on her hands did.

Doesn’t your heart just break for poor Cacatory? Left at Save the Words, dropped from the dictionary and soon to be forgotten … maybe forever!

Hmmm … because I have too much succisive time, I got to dreaming about saving hundreds of words and just how I could help that happen …
