That’s right you heard me correctly … I’ve been hiding from Mormons. It’s not what you think though. I haven’t been hiding from all Mormons, and it’s not that I have mormon issues. In fact, I do on regular basis invite Mormon missionaries into my home for long chats and refreshments (lunch, juice, cookies …). They are really nice kids and I enjoy having them stop by and chat. So don’t label me a ‘Mormon basher’ because I am not. I’ve had dozens of kids visit me and although we’ve never made it past lesson 2, I know all about each pair of kids that comes knocking (parents jobs, #’s of siblings, grandparents, home town, future aspirations, love lives on hold). I am pretty sure they have me on the list of ’safe’ homes to visit. The current pair always brings freshly baked chocolate chip cookies … it makes the hiding all the more difficult.

The real reason is (it’s so not like me – REALLY), due to my recent illness I am tired, tired, tired. Needless to say, when they arrived to visit me twice this week during the afternoon I was lying in bed still bra less (too much info?) and still in my pj’s. I am sure, if they’re not permitted to drink coffee, watch t.v. or surf the internet, they certainly shouldn’t be cavorting with scantily clad, middle-aged ladies with no undergarments! Right?

In reality, grabbing Georgia and ducking under the covers while whispering, “shhhhh … shhhh … quiet … hide … no talking … don’t look out the window … hide”, well it’s probably the most decent thing to do … honestly … (did I mention I’m a double DD?). That and it beats the hell out of flying out of bed, scrambling to dress and then politely telling them you aren’t taking visitors today. The disappointment … I always feel so bad!

I need to get some GUTS.

Psst … I’m feeling OK … just tired.

So far … I am being told I have transverse myelitis. Go ahead and look it up on Wikipedia and please take note that I DO … DO have control of my bladder and my bowel — I repeat I DO have control of my bowel and my bladder.

I have the idiopathic sort (it means the idiots can’t figure out why … heeheehee).

It’s gotten a little bit worse over the past week. Hoping it doesn’t progress any further. The lesion is in my spinal cord at the c4 vertabrae, therefore, potentially everything below my chin could be paralyzed. Due to the fact that it came on quite slowly the doctors don’t think it will get much worse.

I skied today. I sucked! Due to a slight weakness on the left side of my body (thanks myelitis) I found it difficult. I was fun to get out and spend time with the kids. I figure I should get out and enjoy my legs while they still work.

Tomorrow I rest!

blog365 …. mmmfffp! Who’s stupid idea was it? It might be the ugly brain child of this fricken fine fellow (sorry Kamen Lee).

I was going to skip it today. I started to think up excuses:

* The dog ate my homework laptop. I just knew you wouldn’t buy that one. You know with the dog being a shitzu and all.

* I have to attend the opening of my garage door. Haahahah … Ok, so that’s not all that funny, AND I don’t have a garage and, therefore, no garage door. I could hear you all chanting, “liar, liar, pants on fire!”.

* My uncle escaped again! This is actually fairly close to the truth, AND if my family didn’t read this blog, I might just be tempted to tell you the whole sordid tale. Then again, I do tend to have that lazy streak … the one that keeps me from getting too long winded or in depth. Well, because that would take a little work and even a little work is sometimes too much work for me … it’s a LONG story.

* I have to study for a blood test. Really, I was going to go for a blood tests tomorrow at 6 a.m., but I am not supposed to eat or drink for 12 hours prior. My lazy streak kicked in right around supper time, we didn’t eat until 7′ish … I decided to wait for Monday, 7 a.m. is just too late. Tomorrow’s a busy day.

As you can see, I am a pathetic ‘excuse maker upper’. It’s easier to just blog!

A little bear arrived this morning, all the way from Texas. You may have seen ‘Teddy’ around before, he is a friend of OMSH. He used to live in this beautiful shop, now he’s in my messy diningroom, living on Great-Grandma’s side board (for now). He’s kind of quiet but, he seems happy enough. He’s smiling. We like him – A LOT.

Just wait until you see what was in the package for Georgia – TOO cute (coming soon).
