Mandeville House After Katrina

Well, actually, she’s NOT and this isn’t her handy work in the front yard, but that of mother nature and more precisely Hurricane Katrina.

This picture of their new home on the north shore of Lake Ponchartrain was taken 3 weeks after Katrina. The hurricane managed to fill their home with more than 2’ of water.

    Looks great Kim!

The pictures of Les’ are incredible. My Mom liked the stories best.

    My Dad was speechless.

Billie couldn’t possibly let her children get that close to a ‘wild’ animal.

Thanks Gregg! Tell Billie we’re going to have to whip her in to shape … poor Billie. She hasn’t a clue what she is getting into … CHUCKLE CHUCKLE.

  • Pick of the Day - The Submarines Surface

Update: See the Submarines interview on ABCNEWs.
You really need to go and BUY the album.

MommyKnows good music when she hears it.

  • Pick of Day - Love This Planet

Love This Planet reusable shopping bag.

A sturdy, light weight, reusable bag that makes going green a little hipper. Even better, every bag purchased means a donation will go to The Green Ambassadors, a high school eco-ed program.

Each Bag comes with a hangtag that explains just some of the issues facing the environment today.

  • Pick(nic) of the Day - SPORK

I am loving this *spoon-fork-knife* combo from Light My Fire! Perfect for picnics, hiking and school lunches. My house needs a case of *Sporks*. Stylish, environmentally friendly and smart ... sounds just like me.
