Just a Few Moments I don’t want to Forget

Published by on

Sam’s first (and only) piercing. It’s going to stay like that for a very, very, long time …

Sam with bling ...

He’s had a couple of comments about his choice of earring. He has just two little words for you –> David Beckham!

***

Georgia: Mummy I’m drawing you TWO pictures!

MK: WOW, they’re beautiful! How did I get so lucky?

Georgia: How should I know? Maybe you were just ‘borned’ that way.

***

Georgia: Daddy I went to Lizzy’s school.

Mr. MK: Did you? Was it really cool?

Georgia: No, it was really warm inside, but it was a little bit cold at the playground.

***

I’m trying burn to memory, what it’s like to have all four of my kids living here at home with us. Tonight my twenty year old moves out, she’s moving in with her boyfriend. I’m OK with her moving out, I like her boyfriend, but it’s still nagging at me, it’s hard. See you soon Baby Girl! { psst … you can always come home! }

***

Have a great weekend.

@Madeline – it goes by way too fast. Georgia keeps me laughing for sure.

You are such an awesome Mom, letting Sam get an ear stud! I like to think I’ll be “open minded” about that kind of stuff with my boys too … but we’ll have to wait and see :-)
I forget that you have a grown-up daughter (you soooo don’t look old enough!) but I think it’s understandable that you feel a bit sad about her growing up so fast. Hopefully she’ll come home and visit lots!

@Hannah – thanks Hannah. The earring was kind of on a whim, we sort of got caught up in the moment. Now that it’s done, I kind of like it.

So happy I don’t look old enough … you are my BFF!

I so know how that feels! She’ll come and visit often, I am sure!

He is such a doll. And so is your hubby for helping me! The answers:

Are you using Windows XP or Vista? VISTA

Is this only when you copy pictures from your camera/iphone? Yes!

Are you using itunes with your iphone and it takes for ever or some other software? I don’t really use itunes on my laptop because we have most of the files on my husband’s computer.

What model of Vaio laptop?
Model PCG-7133L

If you copy pictures from one location on your hard drive to another location is that slow? (copy pictures from c:\pictures\image.jpg to c:\temp\image.jpg) I just did a test and copied pictures from our network onto our laptop. They instantly appeared.

Please email me the prognosis. :-)

Great blue eyes and I think the earring fits well on your kid. Personally, I will not allow my child get pierced :) but that’s me.

Janice (5 Minutes for Mom) · September 21, 2009 at 2:12 am

I love hearing parents say their kids can always come home! Too many people don’t make their adult “children” feel like they still have a home and it makes me sad. You’re a good Momma!

That is one cool piercing. Although I can see why you’re limiting it to just the one.

And I hope the move went smoothly. I am so not ready to even think about that. Luckily my oldest is only 4 so I think I have a while yet. ;)

Cute kid :)

Thanks,

He looks very cute with his new stud. I have one about to graduate college and two in middle school, a 2 year old and twins on the way. I hope I can remain calm and open minded as the years roll by. Hope fully I won’t be writing rehab lyrics just to stay alive and feed them all.

My husband is all “MY BOYS WILL PIERCE THEIR EARS OVER MY DEAD BODY BLAH BLAH BLAH SEIG HEIL!” I, however, don’t think it’s a big deal. My daughter recently got her ears pierced after 2 years of begging. Why is it OK for her and not them? When they want to experiment with their looks/clothes/hair who am I to say no? I think letting them try things (within reason… say no to crack cocaine!) is healthy and a good way for them to discover who they are. If their grades are good, and they are nice kids, am I going to care about purple hair and an extra hole in the ear?

But seriously… say no to crack cocaine!

Thanks for every other informative website. Where else could I am getting that kind of information written
in such a perfect means? I have a mission that I am simply now working on, and
I have been at the look out for such information.

[…] Sizing: according to the instructions you need 16 stitches across to make a size 5, but her yarn looked pretty thin compared to mine and the stitches more loose. I decided to go with 15 chain stitches (leaving me 14 stitches across). If they were too big, I decided I could force Sam to wear them. They’re a tad girly, but who cares … he wears an earring. […]
