June Jive - Day 30 FREE $25 Gift Certificate

Posted on 30 June 2007 by MommyKnows

Winner is: Richard – and it’s now officially ‘Jammin’ in July’!

***

It’s 1 a.m. and we just arrived in Canmore about an hour ago. It’s a fantastic town (just down the road from Banff) in the Canadian Rockies! For me it doesn’t get any better than this – I heart the mountains! It was a long drive with some bad weather (we actually had to pull over while “nickle” sized hail pelted the van). Georgia decided today was the day to start “peeing” on the potty, so she was begging to stop and pee the whole way, while we begged her just to pee her pants! Can’t win for loosing around here …

Hayley looked beautiful for her Graduation.

See! This is “my” grad and “my” dad (Grandpa/Poppa to Hayley)! It was windy but I think the shot is nicer than some of them taken inside against the bland walls.

There are more pictures …

Here is one in her gown and mortarboard.

This is the last of the grad pictures for now.

For those of you wondering about my amazingly, talented dress-altering husband. It didn’t involve a needle and thread (great-Grandma did that), but a bernzOmatic microflame torch and medal working solder. See the ‘jewel’ part up from neck to boobs, well it was too long, so ‘super-dad’ took out a whole length of beading and then soldered the dress back together making it fit perfectly. Hayley (and I) enjoyed telling folks that her dad was altering her grad dress! Lots of shocked looks. He’s ‘Will the welding-man’ of the grad-dress world. Go Dad!

Did you all realize that it’s the last day of JUNE JIVE (I didn’t, I thought there were 31 days in June – duh … :( that’s why I am desperately posting at 1:45 in the a.m. – I thought I had one more day …) it’s over, done, it can’t be JUNE JIVE anymore, BUT there is nothing stopping me from doing a JULY thingy, right?

In reality, I am doing a little “June is over, it’s really over, it’s finally over, over-over-over” dance! Well, I am not dancing I’m like sitting and wiggling … weird but true! IT’s OVER! For those of you just tuning in I am not wiggling around because I don’t like giving stuff away (I DO), it’s because JUNE is like the month of 20 Christmas’ for me and I am ready to drop dead of exhaustion! We’ll talk again tomorrow after some hiking …

I’m going to need a name (for the JULY contest, not me – I’m Kim, silly!), so to be eligible to win today’s $25 Gift Certificate you need only to leave a comment AND tell me what the JULY contest should be called!

Today’s winner will not be by random drawing. I will pick the name I like the best that person will win the $25 Gift Certificate.

I think JULY will be a bit different than JUNE JIVE and MAY MADNESS, I think I might skip the weekends? It is just too much work and it’s kind of slow … I will think more tomorrow exactly how to work it. If you have suggestions let me know.
