oh i’m not alone! i have long-term Pie Crust Phobia… I guess as a dress rehersal for Thanksgiving (here on thurs. in the US) I decided that I SHOULD try to make a pie crust this weekend. Well, she wasn’t pretty…but she tasted good! Sadly, I did use Crisco…but a little partially hydrongenated oils are too bad for us..right?! Hopefully, by the time I am a grandmother I’ll have this down and make it look easy!

i am another ‘pie crust evader’. i still try w/biscuits though i’ve only made really good ones once, but gave up on pie crusts after only a couple attempts. …maybe…MAYBE i’ll give this a go this year. :)

I have a favorite no-roll crust that is going in my book. It’s the best and so easy! Quite a bit different than yours.

I know from my experience that making such pie is not easy. To be honest for me it was always a failure but I’m gonna keep trying. Maybe next year something possible to eat will appear.

Cool. I’ve never tried a no roll crust. I usually just use a recipe from the Joy of Cooking. It’s pretty straightforward, and it turns out yummier than the store variety.

I have to admit that although I have made my own pie crust several times, with success, I usually buy readymade (SHOCK, HORROR). My Grandma has a wonderful apple shortcake recipe and I love the pastry she uses, plus it is easy to make. It’s great when you find a quick & simple recipe that tastes great! Yours looks amazing!
