	<p>***</p>

	<p>Thanks for all of your holiday suggestions a <a href="http://mommyknows.com/?p=49">few posts ago</a>. We still haven&#8217;t decided what to do (most likely nothing extended). We have a 3 day backbacking trip planned in July (20km in and 20km out with 40lbs on my back) and a camping trip in August (tent trailer with 4 kids). I&#8217;d kind of like a holiday that doesn&#8217;t involve quite so much work.</p>

	<p>Last year we had the <strong><span class="caps">BEST</span></strong> family holiday ever (I am not being paid for this endorsement &#8211; but it&#8217;s not a bad idea &#8211; hint-hint&#8212;> <a href="http://www.sunshinehouseboats.com/">Sunshine Houseboat Vacations</a>).</p>

	<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/mommyknows/510354057/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/228/510354057_e975b39b7c.jpg" width="500" height="331" alt="Little Bit of Paradise" /></a><br />
The accomodations &#8211; it sleeps 16 so plenty of room for friends and/or extended family!</p>

	<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/mommyknows/507309016/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/213/507309016_e1525481f6.jpg" width="500" height="331" alt="Building Castle with Great Grandma" /></a><br />
There were great beaches <span class="caps">EVERYWHERE</span>, check out Liz and Sam building a sandcastle with Great-Grandma (my grandma). We had four generations on board ages 5 months to 74 years.</p>

	<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/mommyknows/507309170/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/202/507309170_c466dbf9c7.jpg" width="500" height="331" alt="Sam on Houseboat" /></a><br />
When we weren&#8217;t hanging out on the beach or in the water, we were on the upper deck &#8220;driving&#8221; the boat and warming up in the hot-tub. Oh yeah, this baby had everything including a <span class="caps">BIG</span> waterslide off the back end.</p>

	<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/mommyknows/507340327/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/211/507340327_a61e1095d0.jpg" width="500" height="331" alt="Georgia on Beach 2" /></a><br />
Keeping Georgia dry wasn&#8217;t easy. We had a whole pile of <a href="http://www.thebabymarketplace.com/securestore/c26043p9533856.2.html">swim diapers</a> along but on this particular day, a walk on the beach fully clothed turned into a skinny dip! Note: she kept on her <a href="http://www.thebabymarketplace.com/securestore/c240256.2.html">Bical Grippers baby shoes</a>.</p>

	<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/mommyknows/507340391/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/213/507340391_da5552f328.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="Hayley and Brandon" /></a><br />
This is my oldest daughter Hayley (and baby cousin Brandon). Hayley doesn&#8217;t get much coverage on this site not being a baby and all, <span class="caps">BUT</span> even she rates this as her <a href="http://www.sunshinehouseboats.com/">#1 vacation</a> (over Disney, south of France, Spain and other worldly locations that my lucky girl has travelled to).</p>

	<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/mommyknows/507340529/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/209/507340529_779d0506f8.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="Nights on the Beach" /></a><br />
At night, we relaxed by the campfire on whatever deserted beach we decided to park our luxury sleeping quarters.</p>

	<p>So if you want a great holiday where your cell phone won&#8217;t ring and the laptop will be of no use, then call my friends at <a href="http://www.sunshinehouseboats.com/">Sunshine Houseboat Vacations</a>. Tell them I sent you :). Who knows they may just give me a discount for our next trip, which won&#8217;t be this year but will definitely happen again (and again and again).</p>

	<p>So I am no <a href="http://pioneerwoman.typepad.com/confessions_of_a_pioneer_/">Pioneer Woman</a> (takes the best pictures), but feel free to click on the images above to visit my <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/mommyknows/">flickr photos</a> and see some more <a href="http://www.sunshinehouseboats.com/">houseboating</a> pictures. Leave me a comment on <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/mommyknows/">Flickr</a> &#8211; you know I love comments!</p>

	<ul>
		<li>* *<br />
In the spirit of houseboating and water &#8211; Day 16 is <a href="http://www.thebabymarketplace.com/securestore/c26043p9533856.2.html">Swim Diapers</a> day.</li>
	</ul>

	<p>We&#8217;re giving away a <a href="http://www.thebabymarketplace.com/securestore/c26043p9533856.2.html">Bummis <span class="caps">SWIMMI </span>/ Cloth Diaper Cover</a>. If you use <a href="http://www.thebabymarketplace.com/securestore/c25003.2.html">cloth diapers</a> you can use this cover over them, if not this is a <a href="http://www.thebabymarketplace.com/securestore/c26043p9533856.2.html">swim diaper</a> as well. It is recommended that you don&#8217;t use it for both purposes. I think once it has been exposed to the chemicals in the pool it doesn&#8217;t does function very well as a <a href="http://www.thebabymarketplace.com/securestore/c25003.2.html">diaper cover</a>.</p>

	<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/mommyknows/510390863/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/199/510390863_e9edc3d5bd_o.jpg" width="250" height="250" alt="Bummis Swimmi" /></a></p>

	<ul>
		<li>A trim and attractive design that has a terrific fit on any baby</li>
		<li>Interior polyester mesh for easy clean ups</li>
		<li>Coated nylon layer sandwiched inside that will hold in the messiest stuff a baby can throw at you!</li>
		<li>Fun, unisex cotton prints on the outside</li>
		<li>Adjustable Aplix closures for a snug and comfortable fit</li>
		<li>Stretchy soft lycra bindings to protect baby&#8217;s tender skin</li>
		<li>What should you put inside the <a href="http://www.thebabymarketplace.com/securestore/c26043p9533856.2.html"><span class="caps">SWIMMI</span></a>? Absolutely nothing!</li>
	</ul>

	<p>The winner gets one <a href="http://www.thebabymarketplace.com/securestore/c26043p9533856.2.html">Bummis <span class="caps">SWIMMI</span></a> in the size of their choice (we&#8217;ll pick the print&#8212;just let us know who it&#8217;s for).</p>

	<p>As usual, all you need to do to win is comment <span class="caps">AND</span> this part is optional (but hugely appreciated and most likely reciprocated) <strong>tell some friends</strong> (even one)&#8212;if you have a blog let all your readers know about our contest (they&#8217;ll love it) and if you aren&#8217;t a blogger tell your best friend, your mom, your neighbor!&#8212;Once you&#8217;ve told some one let me know who or leave me a link to your post in your comment.</p>

	<p>***<br />
Note: <a href="http://www.thebabymarketplace.com/securestore/c26043p9533856.2.html"><span class="caps">SWIMMI</span></a> have been added to the <a href="http://mommyknows.com/?page_id=42">MayMadness coupon promo</a> for those of you interested in buying them.</p>

	<p>**********</p>

	<p>So many of you asked me to talk about <a href="http://www.thebabymarketplace.com">cloth diapers</a>. You also said you&#8217;d like to win <a href="http://www.thebabymarketplace.com/securestore/c25003.2.html">cloth diapers</a>. You comment and I listen. Today I am giving away one of my favorites, a <a href="http://www.thebabymarketplace.com/securestore/c26128p16787979.2.html">bumGenius 2.0</a> One Size Pocket Diaper.</p>

	<p>Today&#8217;s <a href="httP://www.thebabymarketplace.com">cloth diapers</a> are nothing like they were in the past, and using them does not mean returning to the dark ages! Modern <a href="httP://www.thebabymarketplace.com">cloth diapers</a> have all sorts of user-friendly attributes &#8211; velcro-type closures, snaps, flushable liners, etc. No pins, no yucky plastic pants &#8211; just soft <a href="httP://www.thebabymarketplace.com">cloth diapers</a> and comfortable, breathable hi-tech waterproof fabrics.</p>

	<p>Why use <a href="httP://www.thebabymarketplace.com">cloth diapers</a>? Basics: good for your wallet, good for the planet and good for your baby!</p>

	<p><span class="caps">REALLY</span>!</p>

	<p><strong><a href="http://www.thebabymarketplace.com/securestore/c26128p16787979.2.html">bumGenius! 2.0</a></strong></p>

	<p><a href="http://www.thebabymarketplace.com/securestore/c26128p16787979.2.html">bumGenius! 2.0</a> diapers easily fit most children weighing from 6 pounds all the way up to 35 pounds. The <a href="http://www.thebabymarketplace.com/securestore/c26128p16787979.2.html">bumGenius! 2.0</a> diapers were designed with fit, function and ease of use in mind.</p>

	<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/mommyknows/498971082/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/218/498971082_522250bfe9_o.jpg" width="100" height="100" alt="bumGenius-one-size-butternut-100" /></a></p>

	<p>Watch this great movie:</p>

	<p><object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/kw0exbJUdxs"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/kw0exbJUdxs" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object></p>

	<p>To win today&#8217;s <span class="caps">FREE </span><a href="http://www.thebabymarketplace.com/securestore/c26128p16787979.2.html">bumGenius! 2.0</a> just leave a comment <strong><span class="caps">AND</span></strong> you have to tell me whether you diaper your baby with cloth diapers or paper diapers (you can tell me why if you want to).</p>

	<p>Now just check these out! Mr. MommyKnows <strong><span class="caps">ROCKS</span></strong> as you can see by the beautiful flowers he gave me for Mother&#8217;s Day. He gave me <span class="caps">TWO</span> just like this. Why two? I like them so much I like to move them around the house with me and I think he is tired of carting them around the house for me!</p>

	<p>As you can see Georgia likes them too! She has tried to pry open a few lilys, she keeps saying, &#8220;surprise&#8221;. I think she thinks there&#8217;s a surprise in the unopened flowers.</p>

	<p>Look at this close up. I love lilies!</p>

	<p>I also received some beautiful art work that I will show you soon! I hate to brag, but I am going to anyway &#8230; these kids of mine are <span class="caps">TALENTED</span>!</p>

	<p>Okay, that is the easy part &#8230; now you want to know exactly what kind right?</p>

	<p>That really is the tough part because every home is different and all parents have their preferences. With our newest baby Georgia we used:</p>

	<p><li><a href="http://www.thebabymarketplace.com/securestore/c26128p16752280.2.html">MJ&#8217;s Sherpa Fitted Diapers </a>(mix of velcro and snap)</li><br />
<li><a href="http://www.thebabymarketplace.com/securestore/c26043p172648.2.html">Bummis Original Covers</a></li><br />
<li><a href="http://www.thebabymarketplace.com/securestore/c26488p16329755.2.html">Economy Diaper Wipes </a>(sherpa is my favourite)</li></p>

	<p>Seriously, this was by far the most successful newborn diaper system I have tried. It is <span class="caps">BLOW OUT</span> proof! For soon-to-be parents who don&#8217;t know what a <span class="caps">BLOW OUT</span> is&#8212;> Def: when the seriously loose BM of <span class="caps">ALL</span> newborns is expelled out the waist (usually makes it 3/4 of the way up babies back) and leg openings of diapers. Requires full change of clothing, swaddling blanket and very often a bath for baby and/or one or both parents.</p>

	<p>If you are a disposable diapering parent with <span class="caps">BLOW OUT</span> issues &#8212;> my advice to you is to switch to cloth or swaddle (keeps the poop contained).</p>

	<p>Now of course being a cloth diaper loving mom I had to have a few other diapers and covers in my stash and they are (in no order of importance):</p>

	<p><li><a href="http://www.thebabymarketplace.com/securestore/c26043p90184.2.html">Bummis Super Whisper Wraps Prints</a> (love Froggy and Andy Pandy)</li><br />
<li><a href="http://www.thebabymarketplace.com/securestore/c185963p16371254.2.html">Bumkins Diaper Cover </a>(love Dr Suess prints)</li><br />
<li><a href="http://www.thebabymarketplace.com/securestore/c26128p16254130.2.html">Chinese Prefolds </a>(great for spares, under really trim fitting clothing and for burp rags)</li></p>

	<p>Look how great this fits my 1 day old daugher Georgia in a small MJ&#8217;s and a small Bummis Original.</p>
