I won, I won @ CrabMommy! Using my great ‘googling’ skills and the hints CrabMommy left, I figured out she was vacationing in Korea. I won a not so great hat, but being one who likes to win, well the winning part was enough for me! It’s not such a great trait (always wanting to win), but honesty is (right?) and I’m being honest.

It’s 7:30 a.m. (my sleep in day), it’s so not happening today! And it won’t happen tomorrow (Father’s Day and not my sleep in day). Oh my, it’s me whining again, is it starting to sound familar?

The BIG party is today. I am pretty much ready, but the sky’s are grey, I hope Mother Nature is kind. I will take pictures of the lunacy – stay tuned!

This will be a short, short post. If I get too wordy, I know I will feel the need to complain, moan, whine and eventually bore. I am busy, I have a sinus infection and a serious case of Murphy’s Law’itis (that’s when whatever can go wrong does). It started yesterday when I woke up, felt the urge to clean my ears and then had the little piece of cotton fluff come off the swab and stay in my ear (I know, I know – you’re not supposed to stick them in your ears, but I do). I had to rescue myself with tweezers and it’s been down hill since then. Combine that with irresponsible help, 80 cup cakes, shopping for party treats and a sinus infection and you have ‘the bright version’ of my past couple of days. OK, I know I am whining and it’s getting boring. I’m done … complaining, that is!

I found a really fun site today: Scrapblog on a banner ad (don’t click on ads very often, but I liked the graphic) over at www.jenandtonic.ca.

I ended up spending way too much time today working on a digital scrapbook. I desperately want to show it to you because there is this cool contest that could win me a trip to Blogher! BUT, I have decided that it will be a Father’s Days surprize for Will so you’ll have to wait! Unless, I can figure out how to give you a sneak-peek with out giving it all away.

In June, I live with an impending feeling of dread! My reason is really rather trivial … it’s Birthday Season @ our house! Three of our four children have June birthdays (14th, 17th, and 27th). To top it all off, our oldest (Hayley) also turns 18 (whoohoo 1 down, three to go) and then graduates from high school the next day. Add Father’s Day to the mix, and well, I feel like I’m loosing my mind.

I know birthdays are celebrations, but they stress me out. It has crossed my mind more than once, that maybe, the mom’s should get to celebrate the birthday’s not the kids! I mean, we did all the work getting them here, we could stay in bed and do nothing, if anyone complained we could force them to sit and listen to our labor and delivery stories! It’s a great idea, I might even look forward to June if we did it that way!

Thanks for all the comments yesterday! Best dressed kids at the playground, NOT! They should be, but they are not. Occassionally they start out that way, but very rarely do they stay that way. A couple of months ago I posted a picture of Georgia on flickr in a very ugly ensemble—> old hand-me-down sweats, an old tee shirt and a Barbie dress that Georgia insists is a hat and rubber boots.

Unfortunately, this orphan-style is pretty common in our house!
